Yes, you can get admission in IIT even if you are from non engineering background.
For example, Eligibility criteria for MBA at IIT Delhi is provided below
To be eligible -) you must have a bachelor's degree Bachelor's degree in any discipline
-) you must have got at least 60% marks or 6 CGPA out of 10 cgpa in your graduation. In case of for the SC or ST or PwD candidates, a minimum of 55% marks or 5.5 CGPA in graduation is required to be eligible
-) those who are in the final year of their graduation are also eligible provisionally

MAT exam is conducted in february 20 in CBT mode while PBT mode exam will be conducted on March 6. The registration for the exam is going on and the aspirants can apply online.There are total 5 sections which contain objective questions and also there are all together of 200 questions.
