Management Aptitude Test
Yes, CAT scores given more priority than CMAT/MAT. But candidates must have valid scores in CAT/MAT/CMAT/XAT or any other National level test. It doesn’t matter which of the entrance test you would perform, your overall academic, score in entrance test would be high. cutoff score varies every year and depends on the major factors like number of applicant, seat matrix, students profile, no of applicant from any particular category etc . So, the marks distribution for selection criteria is as follows:
Valid Score of 2020 & 2021 - 70 marks
Performance in GD & PI - 30 marks
Nit Kurukshetra intake seat 53 of MBA course 2021-23. As seat would be allotted based on entrance score, GD & PI. However, there is no cut-off data disclosed by respected NIT admission authority in official site.
However, you may want to apply to good colleges that not only focus on academic scores but also on the overall profile of each candidate. I can share my experience at SOIL Inst of Management, Gurgaon - they evaluate your work ex (if any), your personality, your extra curricular activities, performance in GE/PI and your academic performance.
SOIL is one of the top ranked B-schools in India. The batch avg placement salaries are at around 11 LPA and highest CTC is 17 LPA.
Hello Aspirant,
This can only be decided once you will get your results for the examination. No one can predict the scores of MAT/CAT exams but if you are mentioning that you have attempted good number of questions with 90% accuracy then your scores might come good.

Hey Aspirant!
MAT composite score is the marks calculated on the basis of candidates' performance in the first four sections of the MAT exam (leaving the Indian and global environment section). It is given on a scale of 199 - 801.
There is no way one can calculate the exact composite score as of now, so try hard to make sure you answer questions you are sure of and eliminating the possibility of giving wrong answers.
To get a composite score around 600, you need to score about 130 marks in MAT.
CMAT and MAT are both entrance examinations for tier 2 and tier 3 business schools. CMAT is easier compared to MAT, because of fewer number of questions and time provided is more in case of CMAT. However MAT is conducted 4 times a year and CMAT score is taken into consideration by more colleges. If you try and aim to crack CMAT. Good luck and hope this helps
Hello Student,
You will get score card for your second attempt only and that will be considered for your admission in the college. The first score card will not have any value for the next year's admission criteria and your admission will be done on the basis of the entrance exam you have given in that year for admission.
