Hello Aspirant,
Eligibility to take admission in good business school is bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate from a recognized University.
You should have a good score in MAT/CAT/XAT exam to get admission into good B school. Since you have scored 464.5 marks, you need to give the exam again and try to score above 650 as the score above 650 is a good score and you will get your desired B school.
All the best!
Hello,
As i can see that you have attempted for the CMAT exam for securing your admission in this particular college ie, Pune University (PUMBA) and the marks which you have mentioned is quite good and also the percentile is a decent one. As we know that in terms of MBA course it has a great remarks which is the reason that a large number if students try to get in this college for the MBA course specially. But seeing the general trend of the cutoffs for MBA course is
In 2019 the cutoff was—90 percentile.
In 2020 the cutoff was—95 percentile.
So as you can see that your percentile is 83.26 which is a little far from the cutoff so you have a less chance of getting admission but ya as you know that the percentile varies every year and also the above mentioned percentile is for first round hence your try should be must so that you won’t be able to miss any chance of getting selected.
Thank you..
Currently, there are several MBA/PGDM programmes available. However, GIBS BSchool Banagalore is a brand you might look into if you're seeking for a b-school that offers a top-notch education at a reasonable price. The college is located in Bengaluru city i.e Akshayanagar - Begur Road.
GIBS offer an international level education system that includes two courses: BBA and PGDM. Their management courses are created with both theoretical and practical principles in mind, in order to meet the needs of today's industry. Students can use this platform to participate in research and innovation initiatives.
GIBS offers excellent placement services and has a proven track record. They provide full support for job placements and internships. Students benefit greatly from the global immersion programme in terms of gaining foreign industrial experience. After completing their PGDM programme, GIBS offers a competitive pay package.
During the placement drive of 2022, the highest CTC stood at INR 15.50 LPA and the average CTC stood at INR 7.4 LPA and the median CTC stood at INR 7.2 LPA. Again salary package differs with company roles and performance of students.
In MAT examination, the scores above 400 are considered good and most of the MAT scores accepting colleges demand the percentage of 80-90% for taking admissions. You cannot get good college with these scores since they they considered good only.
A fair score would be above 600 and a brilliant score would be 700 and above. Most of the top colleges accept a score within this range. So there are chances you will get average college under home state quota but for good college, you need to appear for MAT again.
Good luck!
As i can see that you have given the MAT exam as you have to pursue your higher studies in MBA and it is also one of the reputed field and has huge demand. Now talking about the marks you have mentioned, so it is a decent score and the first thing i would say you to do is that use any rank predictor showing MAT rank and simply you can get your rank from there, as it will be very helpful because than you can easily compare your rank with the colleges you are interested in. Some of the best MBA colleges are:
1. NSB Bangalore.
2. IMS Unison University.
3. Amity Business School.
4. Jain University.
5. KIIT.
This are some of the finest Universities for this particular field hence, you should definitely look for them.
Most of the MBA colleges accepting MAT select students having MAT score in the range of 80 percentile to 99 percentile. Hence, if you want to take admission in good college for MBA degree, you have to score a good percentage in MAT examination.
With this percentage, you can get admission in your home state college under home state quota. I am sharing the list of colleges which accept 50-60 percentage in MAT:
Hope it helps!
IIT Madras is accepting mat score as per the previous year evidence but we can't say that it will continue to accept MAT scores only in the future too.
Department of Management Studies, DOMS, IIT Madras has the course fee of approx 8 lakhs for 2 years.
The accepted MAT score is above or around 600+ and your scores are decent to give you a seat in DOMS.
Hey,
There us no such thing as pass marks in MAT exam. First of all MAT comprises of percentile and it depends on the scores obtained by different students in the same paper.
And after the score of every student a percentile is calculated.
Although I will suggest you to score at least 50%of marks in your maths section in order to be safe and also add a good number of marks in your overall percentile.
Try scoring as high as possible.
Hope that helps.
All the best.
Thank you.
