Can I prepare my cat exam from 9 class

Rajeswari 22nd May, 2025

Hello dear,

The CAT exam requires a significant amount of time for preparation, including brushing up on basic concepts and practicing advanced problem-solving. Starting too early can feel overwhelming and may not be sustainable with other academic commitments.

The CAT exam requires a level of focus and maturity that is not always present in class 9. Starting preparation at this stage can be challenging to maintain. At class 9, you're primarily focused on learning foundational concepts. So you just need to boost your fundamentals by practicing more and more at class 9 because the Quantitative Aptitude section of CAT syllabus includes all the topics of Mathematics from Class 9 to 10 such as Arithmetic, Geometry, Algebra, Trigonometry and Mensuration.

Start Preparation 12 Months Prior:

  • Begin your CAT preparation around 12 months before the exam date.
  • Dedicate 5 to 6 hours daily for studying, focusing on smart work rather than just hard work.

Identify Weak Sections:

  • Recognize your weak section at the start of your preparation.
  • Allocate more time and attention to improving your weak areas while maintaining practice in all sections

I hope you got your answer, That's all Thank you.

cat 2024 slot 1 analysis download pdf

Rajeswari Dey 16th Jun, 2025

Hi aspirant,

CAT 2024 Slot 1 , held on November 24 , 2024 , was widely regarded as being of easy to moderate difficulty , and significantly easier than CAT 2023 .

  1. The total number of questions increased from 66 to 68, mostly due to two new questions in the DILR section, and there were no para jumbles in VARC.
  2. VARC was rated as intermediate , with an emphasis on reading comprehension.
  3. DILR , despite the increased number of questions , was generally seen as simpler than the previous year , with a combination of 4- and 5-question sets.
  4. Quantitative Aptitude was likewise evaluated as easier than CAT 2023, with a heavy emphasis on Arithmetic and Algebra .

hello everyone,my viteee rank is 42xxx what best choices i have ,please suggest my preference will be vit ap cse,cse specialization in cat 1 or 2 what chances i have many students have said to avoid vit bhopal so should i go if i get cse or cse specialization in cat 1 there

gopi 16th May, 2025

Hello Devansh,  With your VITEEE rank close to 42,000, it is very much possible for you to get CSE in VIT Vellore (CAT 1 or CAT 2) and possible for VIT AP contingent on the opening ranks for that year. CSE in VIT Vellore is very competitive, especially CAT 1, so it is more realistic to get a stream instead. VIT AP is growing, with areas of opportunity and growing, and better infrastructure than what was in the beginning. If you get CSE there as I indicated, the same thought process indicates that it is worth consideration.

Many students say to avoid VIT Bhopal due to it being new (less facilities) and less industry connections. It also does not compare, facility-wise and industry-wise, to VIT Vellore and VIT AP. However, getting CSE is most important and if everything else fails, braking VIT Bhopal is possible. My suggestion would be VIT Vellore (CAT 1 or CAT 2) if you got to sit for CSE or relevant stream. Otherwise, VIT AP is a strong second option. Avoid VIT Bhopal if you have better options.

Best of luck!

12th is 63% and jee mains is 84 persentile bcb cat

Akansha Sharma 23rd May, 2025

With 63% in 12th and 84 percentile in JEE Mains, and belonging to the BC-B category, you have a fair chance to get admission in some good government or private engineering colleges. Your JEE percentile is good, so you can try NITs with lower cutoffs or good state-level colleges in your category. Also, private colleges like VIT, SRM, or other reputed institutes are good options. Participate in counseling carefully and choose branches and colleges based on your rank and category for better chances.

my NEET score 519 govt college AIQ sheet or odisha sheet any chance

Mahima Sinha 3rd Jul, 2025

With a NEET score of 519, you stand a reasonable chance of securing a government MBBS seat under the Odisha state quota, particularly if you belong to a reserved category such as SC, ST, or OBC. For the All India Quota (AIQ), the competition is significantly higher—government medical colleges often have cutoffs above 610 for General category candidates.

Within Odisha, state quota cutoffs for government medical colleges generally range from around 500 to 550+, though these figures vary based on category, domicile, and the specific college in question.

It’s advisable to utilize the NEET College Predictor by Careers360 to obtain a more precise understanding of your options. https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor

Additionally, keep all necessary documents prepared for the counseling process and monitor notifications from the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination Board (OJEE) for updates.

If you provide your category and domicile details, I can offer a more tailored prediction.

My son got 60 percentile in CAT. Where can he get admission now. Residential MBA program

Akansha Sharma 11th May, 2025

With a 60 percentile in CAT, your son may have limited options for top-tier MBA programs, but there are still several good colleges offering residential MBA programs. Some institutes that may accept this percentile range include UPES Dehradun, IBS Hyderabad, Woxsen University, ITM Business School, and Vignana Jyothi Institute of Management. These colleges may offer opportunities with a focus on industry-oriented learning. It’s also worth exploring state universities and institutions that accept other entrance exams like MAT or XAT.

With a rank of 33000 can i get vit ap or bhopal cat 1 or 2

harsh singh 8th May, 2025

With a rank of 33,000 in the VITEEE 2025 exam:

You can get:

VIT-AP (Amaravati) – Category 1 or 2 for most branches including CSE (except CSE specializations might need Cat 2).

VIT-Bhopal – Easily Category 1 for all branches including CSE and its specializations.

Both campuses have relatively lower cutoffs than VIT Vellore or Chennai, so 33,000 rank is considered good for AP or Bhopal campus.
