The AP ICET passing marks will be different for basic rank eligibility and the AP ICET cutoff merit list. The AP ICET passing marks will vary from college to college depending on factors like exam difficulty for individual shifts, number of applicants, seats made available by participating colleges, and normalisation of the raw scores. AP ICET answer key 2026 is expected to be out in May 2026, and applicants will be able to calculate the AP ICET marks 2026 based on that. Furthermore, AP ICET 2026 qualifying marks for OC are at least 50 out of 200. There are no minimum marks required as the AP ICET qualifying marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates. AP ICET passing marks are the prescribed criteria for shortlisting candidates for the selection process to various MBA/PGDM programs by different colleges. AP ICET 2026 result is likely to be announced in online mode in May 2026.
Candidates need to score a set minimum mark to become eligible for getting an AP ICET free seat rank and the further admission process through AP ICET. The AP ICET passing marks criteria for eligibility include a score of at least 50, i.e., 25% of the total marks (200). However, the criterion applies to the candidates from the general category only, and there are not any AP ICET passing marks for OBC or any other reserved categories.
AP ICET passing marks will correspond to the AP ICET rank 2026. These will be based on the final AP ICET 2026 marks obtained after normalization. The expected AP ICET qualifying marks 2026 for different AP ICET ranks are given in the table below.

A good AP ICET 2025 score can considered to be between 160 to 200. A candidate with this score (after normalization) can expect an AP ICET rank of below 100. It is a good enough score to seek admission into the best of the AP ICET accepting colleges.
An AP ICET rank of around 5000 would be secured if a candidate scores around 80 to 85 after the normalization is done. As per the standards it cannot be regarded as a very good AP ICET rank considering the difficulty level is mostly easy to moderate. Still, a few colleges do accept candidates with these ranks.
As per the prescribed criteria, candidates need to score a minimum of at least 25% of the total marks i.e. to qualify for counselling a candidate must obtain at least 50 marks out of 200. It only upholds for the General category candidates and is not applicable for reserved category candidates.
The eligibility criteria for the AP ICET exams require a candidate to have a Bachelor’s degree in any stream with 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA. For reserved category candidates it is 45%. Final-year students are also eligible to apply given they satisfy the criteria at the time of admission process.
