Candidates will be shortlisted and called on the basis of the rank they have obtained in TANCET exam, not by percentile score or actual score. No matter how much percentile you have obtained, admission process will be done on the basis of ranks. However, rank criteria and merit list has not been declared by Anna University, Conducting body of TANCET exam 2021 on behalf of Tamilnadu government. Only after the announcement of Rank list you will be able to know your actual rank.

Open Category- 37.5

Backward Category- 35.25

Schedule Caste- 25.5

Schedule Tribe- 22.5

I hope you are doing good. firslty i would like to know you that you have scored a decent percentile   in tancet . At this percentile you holds very low  chances in getting admission in top colleges of tamil nadu.   I would suggest you to prepare for next exam or go for nimcet and take admission in top nits

Sorry, but it seems very very difficult or next to impossible for you to grab a seat in Anna University or in any Participating college or Institution. As the official Cutoff of TANCET has not been released by Anna University, conducting body of TANCET exam on behalf of Tamilnadu government. The expected Cutoffs are very very happy with for top colleges like Anna University but even the official Cutoff would be a little bit lower then also chances are very less that you can get a seat. You must have scored more than 90 percentile to get a confirm seat in the top colleges.

The cutoff is not released by the authorities and it will be released on the official website.Cutoff changes every year due to many factors like total students appearing for exam,difficulty level of paper,category etc factors,so its quite tough to say exactly the cutoffs. score of 22.667 based on previous year analysis, you can have chances in the following colleges:

sona college of engineering

st.joseph college of engineering

psr college of engineering

sacred heart college

anna univerity,madurai regional campus

note that these are based on previous year cutoffs,as cutoff varies each year ,sp are your chances into colleges.

As you have got 62 percentile in tancet 2021. I would like to tell you that it is very difficult to grab a seat in good colleges like University of Madras, Anna university as these colleges have really high cut off .

Your tancet actual score as suggested by the name is the marks obtained by you in tancet examination.

For example,

Tancet mba is conducted for 100 marks i. e it has 100 questions of 1 mark each, let's say you attempt 55 questions and get them all correct then your actual score will be 55 .

While ,

Your TANCET percentile tells you your position among those who have appeared in TANCET examination and your Tancet percentile is the   total percentage of students who have scored less than or equal to your score.
