Should I take up SNAP or NMAT?

ritika patel 24th Dec, 2021

SNAP and NMAT exams. Both exams can be taken up at the same time as most of the portion is the same. What is different is just the marking scheme, the number of questions asked in each section, time limit, etc. But if you wish you give only one exam then give that exam in which your target college accepts the score.

Thus, when it comes to selecting one exam over another exam then one must decide upon which college he wants to target. For the NMAT exam aspirants usually only target NMIMS Mumbai or other NMIMS campuses, whereas SNAP exam aspirants generally target Symbiosis College, Pune.

Do we have to prepare for the NMAT and SNAP separately?

Tanya Gupta 24th Dec, 2021

Hi,

No, it is not necessary to prepare for NMAT and SNAP separately. The syllabus for both these exams are very similar. Altough similar but several topics might defer so you should prepare for both of these exams together but have different refernce books for few topics. If you are considering to prepare for both exams together then try to give both of them together.

I hope this helps,

All the best.

Will preparing for GMAT prepare me for XAT, SNAP & NMAT?

Aashiketa 14th Dec, 2021

Hi, there are differences in all of those exams. If not everything but at least some of the things are different. GMAT has a fixed pattern, fixed number of questions and fixed syllabus. XAT, SNAP, NMAT are not fixed as in the portion can change anytime the college prefers to. GMAT is more focused on critical thinking and other exams are more focused on mathematical/ verbal mastery. So, there might be a possibility that preparing for GMAT's analytical part give you an upper hand and vice versa. If you still have doubts feel free to comment. Hope this helps.

I have selected around 10 colleges in my nmat preference list. so do I have to register to those colleges seperately for them to consider my nmat marks?

skanditac 10th Dec, 2021

Yes. In order to make the colleges consider your NMAT marks, you need to apply to those colleges separately .  It also depends on your score as if you've scored 210 + , you should expect a call from NMIMS , Mumbai. But if you're worried about your less score, you should apply to the colleges seperately for your own good.
