NMAT by GMAC
Hello,
First of all to prepare for any competitive exam, one week is not sufficient. Yes but if you have pre knowledge of the particular exam or its syllabus then definitely you can get a good score.
Now let's come to the question part. In order to prepare for NMAT in one week , you need to do few things-
1.Go through the syllabus and it's previous year questions. If you have command on Quantitative reasoning( Maths upto class 10th standard), Logical Reasoning and Verbal ability, then it will be easy for you to grasp the basics.
2.Give as much mocks as you can. Analyse them properly. Work on your weaker areas.
At last don't loose hope because even if you cannot crack this exam with one week preparation then still you will have all the pre-requisite knowledge of this exam and its syllabus. Next time when you will be appearing for this exam again then you will be more confident. And with proper preparation and practice you can easily ace this exam.
Best of luck. Hope it helps!
Hi,
Yes, It is definitely worth it to buy the NMAT by the GMAC Official Guide . The guide provides a complete detailed knowledge about the exam as well as it also covers all the important aspects related to the exam. It also contains basic concepts, solved examples, practice questions for all the three sections. There are a lot of praftice questions available for students to practice. Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, Analytical, Reasoning, Number System, etc. It is like a ALL IN ONE guide.
I hope this helps,
All the best.
Hey candidate,
I think 246 marks is quite a great score which you got in your mock test. A score of 246 in the test gets you through the cutoff zone, but you also have to clear the sectional cutoffs to be in the shortlist. If you are consistent , then you will definately doing great.
Keep practising , devote yourself daily and j would suggest you if you will crack the exam then you have to face the GD/PI round so try to cover that side also , so you find yourself in a very comfortable zone at that time. Be patient and never feel overconfident.
Remember, consistency is the key to success.

If you have scored 168 and you want to improve this to 200 then you can do few things-
1.Give mocks and analyse them properly. By doing that you will know what are your weaker areas. Work on those areas.
2. Practice previous years question and check what type of questions you had answered wrong repeatedly. You need to understand that you can leave few topics. By doing so you will get to know that in which type of questions you are comfortable and can solve easily.
3. Be confident and don't loose hope if you get low scores in mock. This is a journey not a final result. Be confident in your exam.
Hope it helps. All the best for your exams and preparation.
