About MAT 2021
All India Management Association (AIMA) has released MAT 2021 February session result in online mode on April 2. AIMA has also commenced the MAT registration for IBT/ PBT/ CBT mode for the May session on March 30 in online mode. As per the schedule, the Last date to register for MAT PBT mode is May 24, MAT IBT mode is June 6, and MAT CBT mode is June 7. The authority will release the MAT result 2021 IBT/ CBT/ PBT mode for the February session soon.
The MAT result 2021 for IBT/ CBT/ PBT mode is to be expected soon on its official website -mat.aima.in. Candidates can check the MAT 2021 result and download the scorecard for IBT mode, PBT mode, and CBT mode by entering the Registration Number and Date of Birth.
Earlier, AIMA has extended the MAT 2021 February session phase 2 registration process for the CBT and PBT mode. As per the schedule, the last date of registration for MAT 2021 IBT was closed on March 16, and for CBT, March 20. According to MAT exam date 2021, the Remote Proctored Internet-Based Test (IBT) was conducted from March 8 to 20, 2021. Earlier, AIMA has successfully conducted the MAT CBT mode and PBT mode exam on February 20 and March 6, 2021, respectively.
As per the exam pattern of MAT 2021, it includes multiple-choice questions only. MAT 2021 paper-based exams and the computer-based exam were discontinued last year for the May and following session due to the COVID-19 outbreak. What is the MAT exam?

AIMA has prescribed the MAT 2021 eligibility criteria for the candidates who are going to appear for the MAT examination. The MAT eligibility criteria 2021 is the same for PBT, IBT, and PBT modes. MAT eligibility criteria comprises the academic qualifications, age limit and the nationality which the candidates must check before they start filling the application form.
- To apply for examination, as per the MAT eligibility criteria 2021, a candidates must have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized institute or university.
- Even final year graduation students from any stream can apply for the exam. AIMA hasn’t mentioned any age limit for the exam.
- Interestingly, one can appear for the exam as many times as he/she wants.
- There is no specific age limit for MAT 2021.

How to fill MAT Application form 2021:
- 1st Step: Register by providing the necessary details.
- 2nd Step: Login using email, password, date of birth, and click on the “Submit” button.
- 3rd Step: Fill Registration Form & Choices for Management Institutes(MI).
- Candidates can select as many MIs on payment of an additional fee of Rs 118.
- 4th Step: Upload Photo and Signature - photograph (20KB to 150 KB) and signature (20KB to 150 KB)
- 5th Step: Make Payment of registration fee through Debit / Credit Card / Net Banking.

AIMA conducts the MAT exam in both online mode or offline mode. Candidates can select the mode at their convenience. Knowing the MAT exam pattern 2021 is a must before appearing for the exam. As per the exam pattern of MAT 2021, the exam will have a total of 200 objective type questions (multiple choice questions) divided into five sections – Language Comprehension, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Mathematical Skills, and Indian and Global Environment.
The duration of the exam is of 2 hours and 30 minutes (150 minutes). Each section has 40 questions and each question carries 1 mark. For each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted. Candidates are advised to strategize their preparation as per the exam pattern of MAT 2021. It will allow them to score better in the exam.

To have insights on the exam day, candidates need to take up the mock test of MAT 2021 by visiting the official website of AIMA. The major advantage of taking the MAT 2021 mock test will be that candidates will be able to access their own performance before the actual exam and are able to gauge and change their preparation strategy if felt necessary. IBT mock test will be available on the official website.
AIMA has released the MAT admit card for IBT mode on March 17 in online mode and the exam was successfully conducted on March 20, 2021. For MAT CBT mode phase 2, the admit card has released on March 22. Candidates can download the MAT 2021 admit card by entering their registration number and date of birth. AIMA has not sent the hard copy of the admit card to any candidate.
Details like the name of the candidate, photograph, signature, date of the exam, the name of the venue and address, etc. will be mentioned on the MAT 2021 admit card. The admit card is a must-have document as no candidate did not allow to appear for the exam without the admit card of the MAT 2021 May session.

- Open the official website -mat.aima.in.
- Click on the "Download/ View --> MAT Admit Card" link on the menu bar.

The B-schools which accept MAT scores will shortlist the candidates as per their prescribed cutoff criterion. The MAT participating institutes will release their cut off of MAT 2021 after the declaration of the result. Basically, the candidates who meet the cutoff criterion are shortlisted for the selection process.
The MAT 2021 cut off can either be in the form of percentile or marks. The cutoff score ranges from 250 to 700 vary from institute to institute. The cutoff depends on various factors including the Difficulty level of the test, the total number of test-takers, the total number of seats offered by an institute, etc.

The cut off of MAT will be decided by the respective colleges/institutes based on that they will shortlist candidates for the selection/admission process. The MAT 2021 cut off will be released in the form of a percentile.
MAT Cut off - Scores
A written test, Group Discussion (GD), and a Personal Interview (PI) is a part of the MAT 2021 selection process. The writing test is also known as WAT (Writing Ability Test). Not all the MAT 2021 participating institutes conduct all three selection rounds. Final admission is offered on the basis of the candidate’s performance in all the rounds of the MAT 2021 selection process. Some institutes may also consider the past academic records (marks in 10th, 12th, and graduation), work experience, and other achievements before offering the final admission.

MAT 2021 GD and PI Process
GD and PI are an integral part of MAT selection process 2021 which is conducted by various participating institutes. These rounds are usually conducted to check the interaction & communication skills and self-confidence of the candidates.
These rounds are to check the candidate's knowledge of current affairs, his or her views on a certain topic or situation and, how s/he reacts or responds to the questions they are unaware of.
Candidates need to perform almost equally well in these rounds as a certain weightage is given to these rounds in the final merit list.

No you can't have backlogs as you need to pass your graduation with a minimum percentage of 50% as this is one of the eligibility criteria for the mat. For more eligibility criteria you can check out the link given below-
If i write MAT in september when the academic year will start for mba? In which batch would i get into?
There is provision of giving MAT multiple time just to improve your percentile for getting selected in better colleges. Giving MAT multiple times doesn't mean there will be two session of academic year.
You will be considered for single year and your best score among all the MAT exams are taken for providing you with the application. You will be placed along with all other students at the time forms are out.
