OPENMAT is a national level entrance exam for admissions to MBA/PGDM courses offered at the School of Management Studies, IGNOU. The cut-off for OPENMAT is decided by IGNOU. Ashish, IIMs do not accept MAT scores. Admission to IIMs is only done through CAT scores followed by WAT and PI rounds. There are many other colleges in India which accept MAT scores such as:

Management entrance exams are CAT, CMAT, MAT, XAT, IIFT, SNAP etc.
Different management institutes accept different management entrance and some even conduct their own entrance tests.
If you not able to take CAT then MAT is an option for you.

Hello candidate,
The common admission test or CAT which is the official GATE examination for getting into the top MBA colleges of the country including the IIMs. The CAT exam was held on 29 November, 2020.
The MAT CBT exam was conducted on February 20 and PBT MAT exam was conducted on March 6, 2020.
So, the MAT Examination is held before the CAT Examination!!
