i want to join mba in 2022 so when should I want to write entrance exam in which month? I m so confused because of previous exams which are conducting late

aswathypadinjakkara 20th Oct, 2021

Hi

Most of the top management colleges in India shortlist the candidates for MBA admission based on the percentile scored in CAT, Group discussion and Personal Interview. Some of these top entrance exams are CAT , XAT, SNAP, IIFT and NMAT by GMAC etc. Also, the application deadline of some of the top B-Schools such as MDI, SPJIMR, IMT, etc will tentatively end in the last week of November 2021.

CAT 2021- Entrance exam date is Nov 28 2021.

XAT 2022- Jan 04 2022

You can check more details about the date of other entrance exams in the given link

The dates of the last two years have changed due to the pandemic situations here. Those situations we can't predict. https://www.google.com/amp/s/bschool.careers360.com/articles/mba-admission/amp

Muskan Shokeen 8th Dec, 2021

Hello Aspirant.

Hope you are doing well.

MI{Management Institution} Code is not necessary to select in MAT{Management Aptitude Form}. It is just asked because they just wanna see that for what you're capable of. But this matters from institution to institution maybe some of the institution demand MI code in the MAT form for the admission criteria according to their rules and regulations. But, it is not necessary to select the MI code in the MAT form.

Sudeshna Dutta 7th Oct, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

Hope you are doing well.

Congrats, MAT results show that you have achieved a respectable percentile. Taking your percentile into consideration, you can apply to the prestigious institutions listed below. I can recommend some institutes where you can acquire admittance with this score because my friends and cousins have either graduated from or are now enrolled at such institutions.

The Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is conducted four times a year by the All India Management Association (AIMA) in both computer-based (CBT) and paper-based (PBT) formats. MAT is held four times a year, in February, May, September, and December. When it comes to the MAT, a composite score of 400 or higher is regarded good. The majority of MBA programmes that take the MAT pick students with MAT scores ranging from the 80th percentile to the 99th percentile.

Hi mam/sir actually I got 612.50 as composite score in mat exam at sep session. is it good score? and how many marks I got in that exam?

Sudeshna Dutta 7th Oct, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

Hope you are doing well.

An examination in management aptitude is administered four times a year by the All India Management Association (AIMA) in both computer-based (CBT) and paper-based (PBT) formats by the All India Management Association (AIMA).

The MAT is held four times a year, in February, May, September, and December, and is open to all students.

The AIMA issued a notification on its official website the previous year, announcing that the MAT September session would be conducted in "Remotely Proctored Internet-Based Test" (IBT) mode due to the COVID-19 epidemic.

So is 612.50 a good composite  score?

Yes it is! When it comes to the MAT, a composite score of 400 or higher is regarded good. The majority of MBA programmes that take the MAT pick students with MAT scores ranging from the 80th percentile to the 99th percentile. SO congo you have secured a good score.

How are these scores generated?

Composite scores for the MAT are generated by combining the results of the students' performance in the first four sections of the exam.

The results of the fifth segment are not included in this table (Indian and Global Environment).

Please review the points given below to gain a better understanding of how the MAT Composite Score is calculated.

  • This test yields a total score that runs from 199 to 801.
  • A composite score of less than 200 or greater than 800 is unusually low or high, respectively.
  • It is uncommon to have a MAT sectional score of less than 20 and more than 80.
  • For example, all scores below 200 are considered 199, while all points above 800 are considered 801.
  • When you acquire less than 199 points, your total score will be presented as 199 points regardless of how many points you receive.
  • In a similar vein, for scores more than 801, simply the number 801 will be reported.

Usually the marks arent disclosed explicitly and it is only on the basis of this composite score admissions are done.

i got 646.50 composite score in mat sep 2021. is it good score? how can i know my percentage?

Sudeshna Dutta 7th Oct, 2021

Hello there aspirant.

I hope everything is going well for you.

The All India Management Association (AIMA) administers a management aptitude examination four times a year in both computer-based (CBT) and paper-based (PBT) formats. The examination is offered by the All India Management Association in both computer-based (CBT) and paper-based (PBT) formats (AIMA).

The MAT is held four times a year, in February, May, September, and December, and is open to any and all students who wish to take part in it.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the AIMA posted a notice on its official website the year before, declaring that the MAT September session would be conducted in "Remotely Proctored Internet-Based Test" (IBT) mode instead.

So, is a composite score of 646.50 a good score?

Yes, it is correct!

MAT composite scores of 400 or higher are considered satisfactory when it comes to the exam.

Students with MAT scores ranging from the 80th percentile to the 99th percentile are selected for the majority of MBA programmes that accept the MAT as a prerequisite.

You have gotten a good grade, so congratulations.

What is the process through which these scores are generated?

For the MAT exam, composite scores are calculated by adding together the results of the students' performance in the first four portions of the exam.

The findings of the fifth segment have not been included in this table for brevity's sake (Indian and Global Environment).

Please carefully consider the information provided below to acquire a better understanding of how the MAT Composite Score is determined.

  • This test results in a total score that ranges from 199 to 801, depending on the difficulty level.
  • A composite score of less than 200 or greater than 800 is considered to be abnormally low or high, depending on the context.
  • It is unusual to have a sectional MAT score of less than 20 and more than 80 on the same test.
  • Consider the following example: all scores below 200 are regarded as 199, while all points beyond 800 are regarded as 801.
  • When you earn fewer than 199 points, your overall score will be displayed as 199 points, regardless of how many points you actually earned during the course of the game.
  • Additionally, for scores greater than 801, the number 801 will be reported instead of the actual score itself.

Typically, the percentage aren't published publicly, and admissions are made only on the basis of the composite score calculated from the data.
