IIM Indore Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test
Hello Aspirant,
You can prefer the books to prepare for IPMAT-
IIM Indore IPM Entrance Exam published by Pearson and written by IIM Lucknow Alumnus Nishit Sinha.
Along with this, you should also practice last year papers by setting the same time limit as it's going to happen in the final exam this will help you to prepare a proper strategy to give your maximum in the paper and also you will be able to recognize your strength and weakness.
Good Luck!
Hello dear student !
It depends on students and their convenience that the language and style of teaching of which institute they like and they understand the most and it may be different for different students. So we can't say any institution to not be good for preparation as students from each of these institutes got selected. But as per the previous data and students's ratio if we count then comparatively T.I.M.E institute is preferred by the students (though it also depends) . The faculty is really nice and the study material provided by them is also very helpful.
Hope this will help you
Hello Sonu,
IPMAT Cutoff has remained more or less same over last few years. The cut-offs for PWD category in IPMAT 2019 were divided into Quant Cut Offs and Verbal Cut Offs. The former required a minimum of 8 in MCQs and 0 in non MCQs and the latter required a minimum of 24.

Yes. According to recent changes in the eligibility you can give and are eligible for IPMAT. But the topics which the maths part of the paper covers is totally based on maths taught in 11th and 12th which might create problems for some students to cope with. Following is the link of the syllabus for IPMAT 2020 and check if you are comfortable with it-

The exam is solely based on the exam but there is a minimum criteria for marks which you can check on-

Books- One of the best books to prepare for IPMAT is ‘Crack the IIM Indore IPM Entrance Exam’, published by Pearson and written by IIM Lucknow Alumnus Nishit Sinha. You an also try previous year papers to get hold of the paper and are thorough with the paper pattern. To be more sure about your preparation you can also try solving some CAT papers specially for english part.
First and foremost you should be really sure about pursuing CA after 12th. You should know the time you have to sacrifice and the level of accountancy and understanding involved. After that you should think about anything else.
Now when you're sure about pursuing CA, keeping IP MAT or DU JAT as back up will not be useful. WHY? Because when you'll study through IPMAT you will pursue BBA+MBA through IIM Indore, then if you'll study through DU JAT you will pursue BMS, BBE or BBA(FIA). All these courses require immense time and understanding of concepts which sometimes make it difficult for the students to cope with their CA.
Rather than these deadly options, students pursuing CA take admission in B.Com or B.com (Hons) course generally in a DU college. This helps students to cope and also provides them some knowledge about their CA.
Now why preferably DU? Because of flexible timings and no BIG attendance issue which really compliments the students studying period and favours them.
BUT if you're not sure about pursuing CA or want to try it on a like more of a trial basis PLEASE keep IPMAT and DUJAT as your back up exams as these are one of the best in the field of commerce.
All the best.
