With a rank of 2601 and percentile score of 87.10 from unreserved category do I stand a chance in any college

kashishjuneja2000_8032841 Student Expert 18th Jul, 2019

Hey,

for a general category student it is not possible to take admission in Delhi University with this rank and percentile. Your rank is quite low as compared to the number of seats available for general category. You can check last year’s cut off for all the colleges for different courses here-

72.5 is my Percentile Score and my +12 Marks 88% and I belong to OBC. will I have a chance for BMS in good College. Thanks

kashishjuneja2000_8032841 Student Expert 18th Jul, 2019

Hey,

with this percentile it is quite not possible for you to get admission in Delhi University for bms even if you belong to obc category. There’s a lot of competition for bms course. So your chances are very less as your percentile is not that good. You can check last year’s cut off of bms of all colleges here-

Is percentile rank is different from overall rank and much is the difference in overall rank?

vikashkr894_9303636 Student Expert 18th Jul, 2019

The percentile rank of a score is the percentage of scores in its frequency distribution that are equal to or lower than it. For example, a test score that is greater than 75% of the scores of people taking the test is said to be at the 75th percentile , where 75 is the percentile rank. In educational measurement, a range of percentile ranks, often appearing on a score report, shows the range within which the test taker's "true" percentile rank probably occurs. The "true" value refers to the rank the test taker would obtain if there were no random errors involved in the testing process. [1]

Percentile ranks are commonly used to clarify the interpretation of scores on standardized tests. For the test theory , the percentile rank of a raw score is interpreted as the percentage of examinees in the norm group who scored at or below the score of interest. [2] [3]

Percentile ranks are not on an equal-interval scale; that is, the difference between any two scores is not the same between any other two scores whose difference in percentile ranks is the same. For example, 50 − 25 = 25 is not the same distance as 60 − 35 = 25 because of the bell-curve shape of the distribution. Some percentile ranks are closer to some than others. Percentile rank 30 is closer on the bell curve to 40 than it is to 20.

Hello sir My du jat percentage 84.4 & 92:25 in twelth class May I got admission inBMS/BBA

kashishjuneja2000_8032841 Student Expert 18th Jul, 2019

Hey,

if you are a general category student it is not possible for you to get admission in delhi university for bba or bms course. atleast 90 percentile is required for a general category student and your percentile is less compared to it. You should try to get a college with a course which takes on merit basis as your 12th score is quite good.

I have scored 90.74 percentile and i have scored 93.5% in 12 th so is there any change for getting admission ?

kashishjuneja2000_8032841 Student Expert 18th Jul, 2019

Hey,

if you are a general category student your chances are quite less. But you may try in second or third round of counselling and also the spot round. Also with this percentage in class 12th you can also get a college in a course which takes admission on merit basis. So if you don’t clear dujat you might take up some other course.

In DUJAT 19, only 2 qs were wrong in shift 2, then why 5 qs have been deleted ? Where as in shift 3, 7 were wrong but only 3 hv deleted ??

raviteja katru 28th Jul, 2019

This year there are many problems were faced in DUJAT exam, one of that is there are some wrong question in exam paper and they rectify only few questions in these sets, and the other one is results are not declared yet. so, we have to be pactience and need to wait for official announcement of decision about the wrong questions.
