As your rank is 5k+ so basically being from Gen category you have less chances to get your seat in college.
You can opt for counseling depending on seat to student ratio and which stream or course you are Choosing, cut off will vary. You might get a seat depending on thr cut off but being gen, chances are less.
The allotment list will only be published after the counseling and only those who have cleared the cut off and eligibility criteria will be only alloted college on their rank.

According to your doubt you have good chances in obtaining a seat in SSCBS with your DU JAT rank referring with the previous year cut off . Although your chances are less to be placed in the first counselling itself.Be confident and try for your chances.

Hello aspirant , you have not mentioned your category . For different category the cut offs are different . Assuming that you are from general category , any general candidate to be on the safe side need to get a rank within 800. With 2200 rank you can get into few colleges , in subsequent lists. Don't get panic if you are not selected in the first list . Wait for other cut offs. Cutoffs have gone down till 3000 rank as well. Keep checking the lists.
