will any problem create when I used to small letters to fill ug application form

Sonali Sahu Student Expert 28th Jun, 2020

Hello,

There won't be any problem. To would be better if you had filled your name and personal details in capital letter. if it is written in the form that you have to write in capital letter and you still wrote in small letters then the concerned official will decide what  to do.

It would be better if you visit the help desk of the institute and ask to guide you for the concerned mistake. They will help you out with necessary steps.

Hope it helps!

If my 12th percentage is 58 and i am belong to obc non creamy layer, So can I fill the form of DU JAT 2020 OR not.

ojaswiyolo Student Expert 16th Jul, 2020

Hello Preem

You have got 58% that means you  not eligible to give the DU JAT exam. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, CW and PwD categories should have attained a minimum of 55% in class 12 th . However for general  category the minimum percentage required is 60%.For the OBC (non-creamy) candidates the minimum percentage is 54% in each of the four subjects being considered for the aggregate.

This aggregate should be of marks scored in four papers- English, Mathematics and the other two subjects approved by University of Delhi.

S. Saha Student Expert 14th Jul, 2020
National Testing Agency has extended the last date to fill the application form for DU JAT till July 18, 2020. After that, the authority will again open the portal for updating class 12 marks. But has not yet announced when to conduct DU JAT 2020. Any dates for releasing the admit cards has not yet disclosed. Once the registration is process is over, the authority may announce furthur dates. As covid cases are increasing at an alarming rate in India, it's difficult to conduct DU Jat anytime before July. So wait to hear it from the authority. http://bschool.careers360.com/articles/du-jat-important-dates

does du jat also aplicable for science courses??

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 2nd Jul, 2020

Hello

No, DU Jat is not applicable to science courses i e BSc courses.

Admission in DU for BSC courses is  on the basis of marks obtained by you in class 12th board examination and not through DU JAT

Through DU jat  only following courses are offered :-

*BMS,

* BBA (FIA) and

* B.A (Hns.) in Business Economics

So, you don't need to appear for DU Jat if you want to get into BSc or Science courses

For detailed information visit our page the link for the same is given below

is it mandatory to add mathematics in top 4 subjects for du jat this year particularly?

Sk Student Expert 27th Jun, 2020

Dear Aspirant,

We hope you have applied online your application as it ends on 04/07/2020. Please read the admission bulletin which gives you entire details on, please read from page 5 http://du.ac.in/du/uploads/COVID-19/24062020_UG.pdf

From the above pdf file:

The detailed course specific criteria are in sections 2.2 – 2.9:

1. All academic subjects may be treated as “elective.” The subjects eligible for computation (subject to course-specific criteria) are listed above in List A and List B.

2. The University may define any other relevant subjects as academic/elective for a particular course. 3. Merit is calculated through course-specific combinations of marks obtained in the qualifying examination in the “Best Four” subjects for admission to courses through the faculties of Arts, Commerce, Mathematical Sciences, Music, Social Sciences, Applied Social Sciences & Humanities, and course-specific combinations of “Three Subjects” for admission to courses under the faculties of Sciences and Applied Sciences.

Mathematics as an elective will depend on the subject you want to study e.g. Literature – then you don’t need to show the best 4.

Good Luck
