%=[ (CPI)-0.5]*10.

CPI is calculated using credit of all subjects and Grade achieved by student in subject.So in your case, if the Course is for 4 years, your degree will be given based upon CPI considering all semesters

Dear Annapurna, CAT is an online examination of 3 hours duration.The questions in the exam will be of MCQ and TITA type totaling 100 questions. MCQ are multiple choice questions, for which candidates get multiple answer choices. Each Question has 3 marks and a wrong answer takes away 1 mark.

Dear Niraj, you haven't mentioned your Category. Neverthless, for being eligible for CAT, a Candidate belonging to General Category should have a minimum aggregate of 50% and for reserved Categories, it is 45%. So unfortunately, irrespective of the Category you belong to, you cannot appear for CAT.
