Hello, Can I select colleges to apply in SNAP one day before exam? And what colleges to fill if I get nearby 75 percentile.

Pranav Mishra 19th Nov, 2019

Hello Aspirant,

I don't know about all colleges deadline but top 4 colleges like SIBM PUNE, SCMHRD PUNE and SIIB PUNE has its deadline of payment of fees is 14th November that is one day before SNAP exam. while SIBM Bangalore has its deadline of payment of fees is 13th November.

Now talking about colleges at the range of 75 percentile are

1) SIMS PUNE 75 PERCENTILE

2) SCIT PUNE 74 PERCENTILE

3) SSMC BANGALORE 72 PERCENTILE

4) SIMC PUNE 70 PERCENTILE

5) SSBF PUNE 58 PERCENTILE

6) SIBM HYDERABAD 55 PERCENTILE

7) SIHS PUNE 55 PERCENTILE

8) SSSS PUNE 50 PERCENTILE

But I will suggest you to don't decide your percentile before exam and choose colleges according to it because percentile depends upon number and number depends upon difficulty of question paper so, it's very difficult to predict any percentile before exam.

Just work hard and try to think about how to maximize your score and percentile.

I hope the above information is beneficial for you.

All the Best.

SRCC_GBO, SIMSREE worth college ?? or i should have to try again for Cat Snap . like i was targeting SIBM Pune. nd IIMs ABC ko chhod k sare k sare

Yash harbola 23rd Dec, 2019

Hi,

As per your query i would suggest that SRCC and SIMSREE both are really good colleges. Where SRCC conducts its own test SIMSREE accepts exams like CAT, CMAT etc.

If you are able to get into these colleges then for sure you will be heading towards good direction. Therefore, if you are able to enter into these institutions then according to me there is no need to try again for CAT.

Since these colleges in intself are fairly reputed and good.

Hope this helps!

What are the minimum cut-off marks required out of 150 to qualify for SNAP?

Niveditha 16th Nov, 2019

Hii...

The Symbiosis International University has been conducting the SNAP test every year.

The candidate must apply for colleges before the SNAP results.

The candidates with the required cut-offs will be selected for the next round for GD/PI.

Different colleges have different criteria for the selection process. The selection process includes the academic record, profile of the candidate, work experience etc.

The score of SNAP of 150 marks is scaled down to 50 marks .

The group exercise is for 10 marks

personal interview(PI) is for 10 marks

Writing ability test is for 10 marks.

Based on all these scores the percentile is given.

However there was even personal ability or the psychometric test in SIBM Hyderabad last year in which I attended my interview and group exercise.

So there is no perfect percentile and the perfect method on what basis the colleges consider the candidate for the admission process.

The cut-off depends on the college you choose and the category you belong to.

The cut for each college for SNAP is as follows based on previous years experts:

SIBM(Bengaluru)  - 56+

SCMHRD - 62+

SIIB - 55+

SIBM(Pune)- 68+

SIHS,SSMS.SSSS,SSMC- 34+

SSBF,SSIB (energy and agriculture)- 42+

SIOM,SITM,SCIT - 47+

category wise cutoff for SIBM(Pune)

general- 98+

ST-35+

SC-77+

category wise cutoff for SIBM(Bengaluru)

general- 96+

ST-24+

SC-70+

All the best!

online coaching is better for snap exam

S. Saha Student Expert 10th Nov, 2019
Online classes save a good amount of time that is otherwise wasted in commuting to coaching centres.
Online Coaching gives priority to your comfort and convenience. You can learn at your own pace, anywhere and anytime. So you can study online for SNAP exam. But the most important thing is to study for yourself. Write different mock tests to brush yourself. Since SNAP is a moderate level entrance test, regular practice, strong strategy, positive attitude and time management is all it takes to crack it.

I am expecting a SNAP 2019 score between 80-85 percentile. What are the chances of receiving a call from SIMS Pune for GE-PIWAT process? (Non-defence open category student)

Himanshu 18th Dec, 2019

Dear Aspirant,

I would like to make you aware of the fact that SIMS, Pune is mainly for defense personnel and their dependents. The intake of this college for MBA program is 300 only and the reservation policy is as follows:

  • 80% seats for Defence personnel dependents.
  • 10% seats for open category civilian candidates sponsored/ recommended by the industry
  • 10% for Defence special candidates.

Since your SNAP 2019 score is between 80-85 percentile and the cut off for defence category general students goes around 55 percentile. As you can see the seat reservation is 10% that too for sponsored candidate so I guess it would be difficult for you to get a call but miracles happen everywhere. Wish you the best!
Have a great day ahead!
