what option should choose for ug level qualification? in snap exam i havent completed my degree yet and options are... 1st is appeared and 2nd is degree in degree option they are asking cgpa but not in first what option is better bcoz final result not out yet

Purbayan Chatterjee 1st Oct, 2021

Hello Shruti,

Hope you are doing all good. If you're pursuing a degree, then you need to choose the degree option in the SNAP form. Don't worry, if you have not completed your degree yet, calculate your CGPA till date (i.e. the CGPA you have until now) and put it in the respective space.

Now, this College CGPA / 10th-12th marks play an important role to categorize aspirants. If your final year marks doesn't change your entire CGPA substantially, you will have no problem.

In case, it does, you'll need to contact the respective people via email stating your current CGPA after release of final year results.

You will face no problem, thereof.

Hope this was helpful.

While entering the class 12 marks we have to consider best of 5 subjects or the same way we considered 6 subjects in CAT?

shreyakhedkar05 15th Sep, 2021
Hello,

You are required to include the marks of all the subjects for the calculation of percentage.
You need to include your optional subjects as well (if any).
It is advisable to not leave the optional papers mark and do not enter 100 as your percentage.
The IIMs are very strict and very particular about this things.
So please fill out the details properly.

Srija Mitra 12th Sep, 2021

Hi,

Since the information provided by you is incomplete, it is very difficult for us to provide any precise answer. As far as fee reimbursement is considered, generally colleges do not provide such facility but having said that, I do not know what is the context behind this, so unfortunately any exact information cannot be provided to you.

if a sc category student has 67.77 in ssc , 52.27 in hsc , 7.0 cgpa in graduation and he is non engineer.if he score 99+ in cat so is there any chances that he will getting any call from old or main iim. he should target cat or he can prepare for other exam like xat , snap , nmat , iift ?

Purbayan Chatterjee 12th Sep, 2021

Hi Omkar,

It is very difficult to state definitely whether you'll get a call from the old (IIMs I,K,L) or main (IIMs A,B,C) IIMs  with your past academics records even on scoring 99+ percentile in CAT. There are reservations no doubt and you will be eligible for that, but usually for these IIMs especially IIM A,B and C, somewhat around 99 percentiles are required for non-engineers with good academic scores for non-reserved candidates.

All that said, under the CAT umbrella several other B-Schools come most of which do not see your past academics and a lot of them provide really good placements at par with IIMs. So with 99+ in CAT you'll easily be able to get calls from them.

Therefore, work hard for CAT and let fate decide what is in for you.

All the best.
