With your NMAT percentile you can appear for the Hyderabad and Bangalore campuses of NMIMS and for ICFAI Business School Hyderabad. ICFAI  Business School has an excellent program for finance. There are several other colleges that accept NMAT scores but they won't be a very good option for you.

With your CAT scores you'll have plethora of colleges to choose from if you're interested in marketing and finance. These are a few colleges you can check out
  • IMT Hyderabad
  • ITM Navi Mumbai
  • IISWBM Kolkata
  • Globsyn Business School Kolkata
  • IMI Kolkata
  • NDIM New Delhi
  • JIMS Rohini and other colleges

Good Luck

What are the sectional cutoff for all sections through nmat?

SAKSHI KULSHRESHTHA 8th Jan, 2020

Nikhil, the final results for NMAT will be released by the third week of January tentatively. Then the colleges will also release their overall as well as sectional cutoff for admission. The cutoff varies from college to college.

For admission in NMIMS (Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad centres), the sectional cutoff is expected to be around 67-70 for Quantitative Ability, 62-65 for Logical Reasoning and 55-58 for Language Skills. The overall cutoff would be around 207-210 for Mumbai and around 195-200 for Bangalore and Hyderabad campus.

rajaman9300 Student Expert 29th Nov, 2019

Hello Gautam

With this score it is next to impossible as the lowest cutoffs one must have to get NIMS is 200+.

So, i think you have to re appear for the NMAT or search for some other colleges.

I have got 197 in nmat, what colleges i can expect that are worth it?

rajaman9300 Student Expert 29th Nov, 2019

Hello Palak

With 200 as a score it’s going to be hard to get a call into NMIMS because their cutoffs come in the range of 212+. So, besides NMIMS you can easily get a call from most of the B Schools in India

IBS campuses

Shiv Nadar University

Alliance University

SRM University

if I carry debit card as a signature proof for NMAT exam, should the signature be digitally printed or a manual signature on the back will do? thanks

Sonali Sahu Student Expert 29th Nov, 2019

Hello,

Better to carry your necessary documents with you. If it will be done using your debit card then it will else you can manually sign.

But in a exam hall they will prefer manual sign if you have to sign at the center. If it has to be signed from before then the board will make it's own arrangements. There is nothing to be worried about.

You can prepare well and give your best in the exam to get an admission in the college you prefer or any institute you find suitable.

Hope it helps!

How much percentile would an NMAT score of 173 make? Also, what are some good bschool options that I have with this score?

Niveditha 29th Nov, 2019

Hi...

The score of 173 is nearly 65 to  70 percentile. This would not be sufficient to get into a good college.

At least there should be marks as follows for the following colleges:

NMIMS Mumbai- 207 - 210

NMIMS Bangalore -199+

NMIMS Hyderabad- 190 - 195

NMIMS Navi Mumbai- 185+

Maximising your marks by 30 to 40 would definitely get you a call from NMIMS Mumbai which is the best.

campus. However you can apply for the following colleges for your score:

VIT Vellore

VIT Chennai

SRM University

Alliance University,Bangalore

BSE Institute ltd, Mumbai

Shiv Nadar University, Greater Noida

WOXSEN, Hyderabad

Amity University,Noida

Thapar School of Management, Mohali

UPES  Dehradun

Mody University,Jaipur

GSIB,Vishakapatnam

HBS

ICFAI Business Schools (IBS) ,Hyderabad,Mumbai,Bangalore,Pune,Dehradun,Ahmedabad.

University of petroleum and energy studies(UPES)

GITAM school of International Business,Vishakapatnam

The total marks distributions are:

NMAT score- 70 percentage

Group discussion-10 percentage

Personal interview-10 percentage

Academic scores- 5 percentage

Work experience-5 percentage.

All the best
