ABHIK SHAW 31st Oct, 2020

Hello,

Based upon the percentile that you have scored, it is almost not possible o get admission to any colleges for BMS or BBE offered at Delhi University. Regarding general category the cutoffs are normally higher with respect to other categories that is the reserved categories.

sir what is the meaning of rank coz in the site, rank is given appox 1-155? and we can apply for this college through merit or du jat ?

Prachi Pant 11th Nov, 2020

Hey

See it depends upon the courses you are applying for. Delhi University offers admission across various courses through both merit based mode and the entrance based mode.

For the entrance based mode (DUET), for specific courses like BMS and BJMC, the rank secured in the DUET will determine your eligibility for getting admission in colleges of Delhi University.

While for many undergraduate courses, the admission lists are released (merit based).

Thanks

got 264 rank In du jat will I make to shaheed sukhdev

S. Saha Student Expert 9th Nov, 2020
Going by last year's cutoff it would be difficult to get Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies if you are from general category. If you have any other category reservations, you have good chances of getting Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies. But based on last year's cutoffs, you have good chances in
  • Keshav Mahavidyalaya
  • Deen Dayal Upadhyay College
  • Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied sciences (this is for Women)
  • Aryabhatta College
Etc.

But keep in mind that these are based on last year's data and this year the cutoffs can change.

I scored 88.75% in cbse and scored 191/400 in du jat bbe/bms/bba(fia) and Im from general category. what could be my rank approximately?

ABHIK SHAW 8th Nov, 2020

Hello,

Du gives weightage of 65% and 35% to DU JAT Score and class 12 examination marks. Based upon that and taking into consideration the previous year cutoffs, you seem to have less chances for general category, since the cutoffs for general category are higher with respect to the other categories.

My daughter scored 71.84 percentile in DU (JAT) Exam 2020. She is interested in BA (Honors) Economics OR BBA. What Next?

ABHIK SHAW 2nd Nov, 2020

Hello,

It would had been better if you had mentioned the category since the cutoffs are different for all categories. Now based upon your percentile for DU JAT for general category you may have less chances for admission in the top under Delhi University for BBA or BA Hons. The cutoffs for general category are quite higher. Now a large part of it depends upon the marks of the qualifying examinations that is class 12th exam. The composite score is calculated on the basis of which the admission is provided. Both are equally important

Wait for the cutoffs to be released. The composite score is calculated by -

65 percent of DU JAT score + 35 percent of marks of qualifying examination

Thank you.
