i am 12th humanities student and i wanna take attepmt of DU JAT can i give this exam without having math as a main subject........but for exam i can prepare my self

Tanya Gupta 12th Mar, 2024

Hello,

Yes, you can take the DU JAT even if you are a humanities student without math as your main subject. The DU JAT primarily tests your proficiency in Quantitative Ability, Reasoning and Analytical Ability, General English, and Business and General Awareness. While a background in mathematics may be helpful for some sections, you can certainly prepare yourself for the exam with dedicated study and practice. Focus on strengthening your skills in areas like reasoning, analytical thinking, and general awareness to maximize your chances of success in the DU.

Hope this helps you ,

Thank you

sir what are the minimum marks needed in DU JAT to get admission in good colleges and please suggest good source of material for its prepration with key focus areas to gain marks only having two months time.

sathwika 13th Apr, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

As you wanted to get seat in the good colleges by attempting DU JAT it is for bba and bbs courses and this entrance exam is the online or computer based test and eligibility for this entrance exam is 12th standard and with 50 percentage of marks and bba is the good course so i suggest you to do this course as it is a good course and this course has bright future too so you should get more than 75 percent of the marks to the total marks so that you may get seat in the good colleges so study well and work hard to get good marks in the good colleges and ALL THE BEST for your future and i think my suggestions and knowledge may be helpful to u.

deepeshmalhotra3101_9482575 Student Expert 7th Aug, 2019

Dear aspirant,

As the competition is getting tougher day by day, with this rank you cannot get admission in any du college. You can go for other competitive exams and I'm sure you will find a good college. Below is the link you can check for getting detailled information.

i got 216 marks out of 380 in du jat exam and 73%in boards, can i expect any lower college in DU??. i am from unreserved category.

Sumit_1492180752 Student Expert 6th Aug, 2019

Hello

It is quite difficult for you to get a college under DU through DUJAT since there is weightage of 65% DUJAT score and 35% best 4 marks, you might check your rank which is the final list you can check here: http://www.du.ac.in/adm2019/undergraduate.html.

If your rank comes out to be less than 1500 there are chances that you can get a college.

Hope it helps.

Sir,i have got 900 rank in du jat but i am admitted in some other University outside Delhi in 1st year of graduation.so DU will accept me?

Anjali Tanwar 20th Jul, 2019
Hello Utsah,
Yes you can definitely take admission in Delhi university but you need to produce all the required documents in original during counseling.
You can withdraw your admission from the college in which your have taken admission right now only if you are so sure about your admission in Delhi university.
Also you need to read the eligibility criteria of the DU JAT and should be eligible for counseling according to that.
I hope this helps.
All the best for the future!!

Serial number 930 , 95.46 percentile and 95%in 12th, are there any chances for admission in BMS course in DU?

kashishjuneja2000_8032841 Student Expert 19th Jul, 2019

Hey,

according to your percentile you do have some chances of getting in Delhi University through DUJAT score. But if you belong to general category you won’t be getting a very good top college with this percentile. Instead you may get a better college if you take admission in a course that admits on merit basis as your class 12th percentage is really good. Still you can check last year’s cut off of DUJAT according to your category here-

I scored 117 in DU JAT and my best of four is 75.. is there any chance of BMS in DU college Under SC category??!!

abhikshaw100_9176398 Student Expert 18th Jul, 2019

Hello,

The selection parameters for DU JAT is :-

  • DU JAT score-65 percent(weightage)
  • Class 12 marks(best of four)-35 percent(weightage)

Since you belong from the SC category, yoyr cutoff will be quite lower than the general category candidates. But the seats are less and applicantsmore.Basd upon the marks that you have scored you have very less chances for BMS in DU.

Yes,Mathematics is compuslory, and the marks are to be counted in the best of four calculation along with English.

Check the following link for the previous year cutoff trend https://bschool.careers360.com/articles/du-jat-cutoff.

Regards!
