what will be the cmat cutoff to get admission in Great lakes chennai college and imt nagpur and imt Hyderabad also for pgdm

Sampriti Gupta Student Expert 6th Feb, 2020
Great Lakes Chennai considers an applicant pool of 500 students while giving a call so you can expect the cutoff to be a minimum of 98 percentile in CMAT.

For IMT Nagpur the minimum CMAT percentile required is 80 and for IMT Hyderabad they require a minimum score of 150 in CMAT. If you score more than 80 percentile you automatically get a call from both the Nagpur and Hyderabad campuses, provided that you've applied for IMT. But if your percentile is below 80 then you'll get a call only for IMT Nagpur. The GE/PI process for all the campuses except IMT Ghaziabad is conducted together and based on your performance you'll be allotted one of the two campuses.

I am having 57.82 NTA Score in CMAT with 155 marks. Am I eligible? Also do they consider work experience?

Sampriti Gupta Student Expert 6th Feb, 2020
With your scores you can still get some decent colleges who don't require a candidate to score a certain percentile in order to get a call like
  • BIMM Pune ( fees = 7.85 lakhs)
  • NDIM New Delhi (9.3 lakhs)
  • JIMS Rohini (7.7 lakhs)

You'll just have to apply to these colleges through their official website paying a certain registration amount and select the city where you want your interview to be conducted and they'll call you for the further process. The final selection will be based on your performance in the GD/PI rounds which is conducted in various cities across India but you'll have to perform extremely well in those rounds considering your CMAT percentile as the competition is very high and some weightage is assigned to the entrance exam scores also.

Apart from that you can also check out the following colleges. They accept a CMAT percentile ranging from 50-60 but are not as good as the above mentioned colleges
  • IIRM Jaipur (fees = 7.2 lakhs)
  • MP Birla Institute of Management (1.08 lakhs)
  • SCMS Cochin (7.5 lakhs)
  • SDMIMD Mysore (2.5 lakhs)
  • IPE Hyderabad (8.15 lakhs) and others

Shivika Tyagi 6th Feb, 2020
Hello Divya,
I will suggest you to for job and also give exam next year. Preparing for cmat in one year time with job is not that tough. You can join coaching on weekends and if you will give just 2-3 hrs a day for your preparation sincerely, its more than enough. And keep giving mocks to know where you lacks and what's your strong area, in which area you need more practice.

IMI Bhubaneswar is a decent college. It's under brand of IMI ( IMI Delhi)

What is the cutoff of CMAT exam this year to get into XISS, Ranchi? I scored 77 percentile. Can i get into it..?

Sampriti Gupta Student Expert 6th Feb, 2020
The CMAT cutoff for XISS Ranchi for Human Resource Management is 73 percentile and that for other departments (Finance, Marketing, Rural and IT) is 50 percentile. With your CMAT percentile you can definitely get a call but your final selection depends on your performance in the GD/PI rounds and which branch you're opting for.

Unlike other colleges XISS has a different curriculum structure. From the very first year you choose your branch of study. For example if you choose Human Resource Management then from the very first year you study that only and hence the interview process and the placement processes also take place separately.

Moreover the final selection depends on the following criteria along with the weightage assigned to them

Academic Record = 20%
Entrance exam scores = 40%
GD= 5%
PI= 30%
Written assessment = 5%

If you're planning to study Human Resources then the competition would be very tough and you'll have to perform exceptionally well in the GD/PI rounds in order to finally get selected since candidates scoring 99 percentile also appear for the interviews whereas for other branches with some hard work you can easily get through.

You can also check out some other colleges with your CMAT percentile like
  • XIME Bangalore
  • ITM Navi Mumbai
  • NDIM New Delhi
  • BIMM Pune
  • JIMS Rohini
  • IMT Hyderabad
  • Praxis Kolkata
  • IPE Hyderabad and others.

I have scored 93.06 percentile in CMAT 2020, Can I expect a call from colleges like GIM, KJ Somaiya , Great lakes Chennai and others?

Sampriti Gupta Student Expert 6th Feb, 2020
With your CMAT percentile it may be a little difficult to get a call from Great Lakes as they consider a pool of 500 students while giving a call which requires you to have a minimum of 98 percentile in CMAT.

If you belong to the state of Maharashtra then you have some chances of getting a call from KJ Somaiya as their cutoff lies between 93-94 percentile. But if you belong to other states then it would be difficult as the cutoff for other state students in CMAT is 99.97 percentile.

But you can get a call from GIM Goa as they require a minimum score of 240 in CMAT.

Moreover you can also check out some other good colleges as you have pretty decent percentile in CMAT
  • XIME Bangalore (fees =10 lakhs)
  • XISS Ranchi (10 lakhs)
  • IMT Nagpur (14 lakhs) and Hyderabad(12 lakhs) campuses
  • BIMM Pune (7.85 lakhs)
  • IFMR Chennai (12.5 lakhs)
  • ITM Navi Mumbai (10.5 lakhs)
  • Praxis Kolkata (7.57 lakhs)
  • BIMTECH Noida (considers CMAT scores for PGDM RM and PGDM IBM only) (fees =12 lakhs)

Good Luck
