The CMAT cutoff for getting a call from Welingkar is 80 percentile. So you can easily get a call from it, Last date for filling the form for Welingkar is 14th feb, So fill that form.
Now talking about the further process there will be a GD-PI process for getting admission in the college, Just perform as well as you can in GD-PI process because GD-PI process has a lot of weightage in admission, I have seen students with 80 percentile studying in core and students with 95 percentile studying in Healthcare management, So my suggestion for you to start preparing for GD-PI process.
There are various courses for PGDM in Welingkar, So choose those courses in which you have interest, Not only go for PGDM because there is umbrella process of placement, So everyone will get an equal chance despite of their courses.
I hope the above information is beneficial to you.
All the best.
Anindya, Before any suggestion of colleges, I would say that you have a good percentile where you would get many good B- schools to pursue your desired course, however, it may not be good enough to get the top B-schools but still it should be sufficient enough to give you admission chances to many good institutions. Before suggesting about the colleges you may get based on these scores, remember that the chances also depend upon your graduations credentials and on the class 10th and 12th scores as well for shortlisting in some institutions and you haven't specified them so I am going to answer in a generic way. Now, the list of some colleges which you may get are:-
GITAM INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT, VISAKHAPATNAM
MS RAMAIAH INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT, BANGALORE
ITM BUSINESS SCHOOL, NAVI MUMBAI
PSG INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT, COIMBATORE
INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT TECHNOLOGY, HYDERABAD
CMS INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES, COIMBATORE

Hi Rajalakshmi.
For its PGDM programs, Welingar accepts scores of CAT, XAT and CMAT exams. For PGDM course, you will have to go through the GDPI selection procedure. An 87 percentile in CMAT 2020 can easily get you a call for pgdm in Welingar as the cutoff for that is 70 percentile. But, the cutoff is not everything. Your scores from 10th and 12th Boards also matter for selection.
You did not mention your Category and this answer is being written assuming that you belong to General Category. With a score of 120, your percentile is approximately around 40. With that score, unfortunately the chances are quite dim. You may have to apply for local colleges which offer management quota seats or you have to appear for CMAT again for the coming year. But with this score, the chances of you getting a seat are quite less. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as difficulty of the exam, no.of seats available, no.of Candidates appeared and no.of Candidates who passed the entrance exam.
