If you are a General Engineering Male, with academic results not above 90% in boards and with no work experience, you should target a percentile in the range of 97-98. This is a ballpark figure, and changes every year subject to considerations like competition/level of difficulty of paper/etc.
Unfortunately for you, your scores are on the lower side and you wont get a shot to the best of colleges. Start preparing for CAT 2018 and give it your best this time. All the best!
My percentage is 82% but i want improve so in improvement pcm is necessary or not to give jee mains
Given your details, you wont get a call from either the old IIMs or the new ones. However you might get a call from the baby IIMs- Vizag, Nagpur, Amritsar, Sirmaur, Jammu, Bodh-Gaya.

No two 100 percentiler will ever have the same time table. One needs to be flexible and needs to choose wisely his/her strenghts and weaknesses. It all depends on what suits you the best. Hope this helps!
