You can justify by above works for your gap, however the interviewer may still ask why you did not go for a full time job in a firm. So be prepared for that. Apart from this focus primarily on your cat preparation

Firstly, Jee advanced is not accepted by NITs and BiTs campuses. 

Hence, for 2019 you will have to reappear exams. 

Its better you take up NITs like Sikkim and Manipur with Jee Mains rank.

Studnets can give Jee Main and Advanced for maximum of 3 attempts.
