I am a BSc Chemistry student apeearing for CAT 2021. Is my background considered as eng. or non-eng-engg? Some are saying that its equivalent to engg. since I have science background. Whats the reality in terms of CAT?

Subhrajit Mukherjee 7th Aug, 2021

Nope! You are in the non engineering group. Most of the degrees those are introduced under the engineering group are:

  • BTech/BE
  • MTEch/ME
  • BARCH
  • BPHARM
  • BDES

This are correlated domain of engineering so they are fitted under the group of engineering. But for BA/BSc/BCom/MBBS/BBA its all in the non-engineering group.
