I did my UG in 2023 and wrote AP ICET exam in 2023 and got rank of 1117. Due to some issues i didnt write my exams of 1st semester and took discontinued TC. Now I want to continue my MCA again, for that do I need to write ICET exam again or can I use previous rank for counsilling.

Tanya Gupta 26th Dec, 2024

If you want to resume your MCA after discontinuation, you generally cannot use your AP ICET 2023 rank for counseling in 2024. AP ICET ranks are valid only for the academic year in which they are obtained. To reapply for MCA in the upcoming academic year, you will likely need to take the AP ICET exam again to qualify for counseling and secure admission.

without choosing freeze option it cant save in apicet seat

Radhika Goyal 14th Aug, 2024

Yes, it's generally true that you cannot save your seat choice without freezing it in the APICET seat allotment process. This is a standard procedure implemented by most counseling authorities to ensure the smooth and efficient allotment of seats.

Here's why the freeze option is mandatory:

  • Preventing Seat Blocking: Freezing your choice prevents you from blocking a seat that you might not ultimately accept.
  • Efficient Seat Allocation: By freezing your choice, the counseling authority can move on to the next candidate, ensuring that all available seats are filled efficiently.
  • Fairness: This system ensures fairness to all candidates by preventing seat hoarding.

If you don't freeze your choice, your preferences will not be saved, and you might lose the opportunity to get the allotted seat. Therefore, it's crucial to carefully consider your options and freeze your choice accordingly.

Remember: Once you freeze your choice, you cannot modify it. So, make sure you're confident about your selection before proceeding.

my rank in ap icet is 2204. can i got the seat in jntu vizianagaram

Kanishka kaushikii 13th Aug, 2024

Unfortunately, with a rank of 2204 in AP ICET, it's unlikely that you can secure a seat in JNTU Vizianagaram. JNTU Vizianagaram is a popular choice among AP ICET candidates, leading to high competition for seats. The cutoff ranks for JNTU Vizianagaram are generally much lower than 2204.

While JNTU Vizianagaram might not be feasible, you can explore other options:

  • Other JNTU Campuses: Consider other JNTU campuses like Kakinada, Anantapur, or Hyderabad.
  • Private Colleges: There are several good private colleges in Andhra Pradesh that offer MBA programs.
  • Lower Tier Colleges: Explore colleges with lower cutoffs to increase your chances of admission.

I hope this information helps you.

sir i have get rank 6199 in ap icet 2024 .can i get seat in anantpur jntuv?sir my cast is (b_cb )

monag2673 27th Jul, 2024

With a rank of 6199 in the AP ICET 2024 and belonging to the B_CB (Backward Class) category, you have a reasonable chance of securing a seat in JNTU Anantapur, though it might depend on the specific cutoffs for this year and the competition. Typically, JNTU Anantapur has a variety of programs, and the cutoffs can vary significantly based on the program's popularity and seat availability.

  1. Check Previous Year Cutoffs : Reviewing the previous years' cutoffs for JNTU Anantapur can give you an idea of your chances. Generally, cutoffs for backward classes tend to be lower compared to the general category, which works in your favor.

  2. Counseling Process : Participate actively in the AP ICET counseling process. Ensure all your documents are in order and stay updated on the counseling schedule and procedures. During counseling, prioritize JNTU Anantapur but also have backup options in case you don't secure a seat there.

  3. Alternative Colleges : Explore other reputable colleges in your desired region as backup options. There are several good institutions where you can pursue your MBA if JNTU Anantapur doesn't work out.

Staying informed and being flexible with your options will increase your chances of securing a good seat.

hope this helps you!!

Hello! Myself k.vaishnavi. I wrote Ap Icet exam, but didnt wrote college cet, will I eligible to get an admission for a pg course MCA??

Asmee Biswas 21st Jul, 2024

Hello, Vaishnavi! Yes, you can still be eligible for admission to an MCA course if you have written the AP ICET exam. AP ICET (Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test) is the common entrance test for admission into MBA and MCA courses in colleges across Andhra Pradesh.

Even if you didn't write the college-specific CET, AP ICET is generally accepted for MCA admissions in most colleges in Andhra Pradesh. Make sure to check the specific eligibility criteria and admission process of the colleges you are interested in, as some may have additional requirements or preferences.
