Hello Shahnawaz. The eligibility criteria for general category applicant to appear for cat, is that the applicant should have minimum 50% marks in graduation. For reserved category, it is 45%.

So, with 48% in your grads, if you are from general category, you are not eligible to write cat.

See the rank u have secured is too low for u to grab seat in the good colleges like NITs IIITs or GFTIs for pursuing ur higher studies in the field of ur interest under btech courses. U should be going for private Institution for ur btech career.

Is math compulsory in graduation for CAT

Hello Saurav. No, maths in graduation is not compulsory for appearing for cat. The only eligibility criteria is that you should have 50% marks(general category) in your graduation.
And yes, students from various background like humanities, literature, medicine have all appeared for cat and got into IIMs.
