Q 1. What is the angle formed between the hour hand and the minute hand of a clock at 5:55?
Solution:
The angle between the hour and minute hands is calculated using the formula:
Angle =|(30H−11M2)|
Where:
- H= Hour
- M= Minutes
Here, H=5 and M=55.
Angle =|(30×5−11×552)| Angle =|(150−6052)| Angle =|(150−302.5)| Angle =|−152.5| Angle =152.5 degrees
If the angle exceeds 180∘, we take the smaller angle between the hands:
Smaller Angle =360∘−152.5∘=207.5∘
Since 152.5∘ is already smaller, it is the correct angle.
Q 2. In a group, the sum of three numbers x+y+z=850. If x is reduced by 100, y is reduced by 25, and z is reduced by 50, the ratio x: y becomes 1: 2, and the ratio y: z becomes 3: 2 (or 2: 3 ). Find the values of x, y, and z.
Q 3. Anurag's grandfather has an old cuckoo clock. It takes 5s for the cuckoo clock to chime 5 cuckoos. How long will it take to chime 10 cuckoos?
Solution:
Time interval between two chimes = Total time Number of intervals =5 s5−1=54=1.25 s
For 10 cuckoos, there are 10−1=9 intervals. The total time required is:
Total time =9×1.25=11.25 s
Q 4. Find the missing number: 6,13,20,27,…,678
Q 5. What is the sum of the numbers between 569 and 1024 which is divisible by 3 and 7.
Q 6. Two circles that meet externally have a radius of 6 cm. Another circle touches these two circles. Find the radius of the third circle.
Q 7. A person invested 34,500 in 5% stock at a 15% premium. Find his income.
Q 8. Complete the series c, d, f, h, ..., ..., t, y
Q 9. In a group, the sum of three numbers x+y+z=850. If x is reduced by 100, y is reduced by 25, and z is reduced by 50, the ratio x:y becomes 1:2, and the ratio y:z becomes 3:2 (or 2:3). Find the values of x, y, and z.
Q 1. A question asked students to identify the figure of speech used in a passage from Shakespeare's works.
Q 2. Another question was about the winning team.
Q 3. Students were given three words: grappling, grafting, and grasping, and had to answer a question based on these words.
Q 4. A statement, “He earned most of his reputation during the last lap of his career,” was provided, and the question focused on identifying countable and uncountable nouns.
Q 5. There was a question on rearranging jumbled sentences (Parajumbles).
Q 6. Some questions involved correcting grammatical errors.
Q 7. One question required students to identify a compound noun.
Q 8. Another question asked candidates to arrange a sentence correctly: “She gave nice presents to her father on his birthday.”

The SNAP exam is conducted three times a year, usually on different dates in December. Candidates can choose to attempt the exam once, twice, or all three times, and the best score among their attempts is used for admission purposes.
To crack the SNAP exam, candidates should focus on strategic preparation and consistent practice. Start by understanding the exam pattern and syllabus thoroughly. Practice solving questions from all sections, including General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation, and Analytical and Logical Reasoning, within the time limit. Taking regular mock tests is crucial to improve speed and accuracy.
The SNAP exam, or Symbiosis National Aptitude Test, is conducted for admission into MBA and postgraduate programs offered by Symbiosis International (Deemed University) and its affiliated institutes. It evaluates a candidate's skills in areas like Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability, Logical Reasoning, and General Awareness. Clearing this exam is a crucial step for those aiming to pursue management courses from Symbiosis institutes.
SNAP is generally considered less challenging than CAT, as its questions are relatively easier and the exam focuses more on speed and accuracy. While CAT has a tougher difficulty level, especially in Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation, SNAP tests simpler concepts with a balanced structure.
Preparing for the SNAP exam in one month is challenging but achievable if you are consistent and focus on key areas. Ideally, 3-4 months are recommended to thoroughly cover the syllabus and practice extensively. However, with a focused plan, including revising basics, solving mock tests, and improving speed and accuracy, you can still perform well in one month.
