Candidates who meet the IIFT MBA eligibility criteria can apply for the IIFT MBA IB programme. The IIFT MBA seats will be offered to candidates based on the eligibility criteria and marks scored in any of the MBA entrance exams.
- Candidates from the general category must have a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in any discipline from an approved university.
- Candidates belonging to the OBC/SC/ST/PWD categories should have a minimum aggregate of 45% in any degree from a recognised university.

On behalf of the institute, the National Testing Agency (NTA) administers the IIFT exam. NTA's only responsibility is to administer the test and prepare the results. The admissions committee chooses which prospects to admit. The exam is comparable to other MBA admission examinations offered in India. The Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning, and General Awareness sections comprise the IIFT question paper.
