Dr. Pooja Jain: JIMS Rohini offers three postgraduate programs: PGDM, PGDM (International Business), and PGDM (Retail Management). Our dedicated admission team ensures a transparent and smooth transition of the aspirants to the PGDM program. The admission criteria stipulate four parameters on the basis of which candidates are shortlisted which are as follows:

  • Entrance Test - 40%

  • Performance in Qualifying Exams (CAT, MAT, XAT, ATMA, IIFT, GMAT, CMAT) - 20%

  • Personal Interview - 25%

The Library is the backbone of academic and research activities at JIMS. It is designed to meet the information needs of the JIMS fraternity, i.e., students, faculty, and staff members. To support high-quality teaching, learning, and research, the library has full-text access to thousands of e-books, international journals, and online databases of repute. The library is well equipped with the latest IT tools and equipment to collect, store, retrieve, and disseminate information.

State-of-the-art Auditorium and Conference Hall

The state-of-the-art auditorium provides a center stage with state-of-the-art audio/video facilities for conducting guest lectures, speaker sessions, events, and batch-meets with a sitting capacity for the whole batch. The Computer Centre is continuously upgraded keeping in view the fast-paced changes in IT. The facilities include world-class servers, Wi-Fi enabled campus, and a wide range of hardware and software which facilitate an effective model of learning.

Learning Management Software

JIMS has designed the Learning management software for students which enables them to access their subject content, link classes, submit assignments, and access other necessary data or information without the risk of losing it.

E-Resources

JIMS has also adopted concrete steps to impart education by making the best use of e-resources. Classrooms have been equipped with the latest technologies, high-speed data access, and other facilities. Access to online library facilities like E-books, Journals, etc are also provided to students.

Interactive Classrooms

All classrooms at JIMS are spacious and air-conditioned. They provide the most conducive atmosphere for dynamic and focused discussions. Classrooms at JIMS have been designed to bring together analysis with action and are augmented with integrated audio-visual teaching aids for lectures, presentations, etc. which set the tone for students to engage in stimulating discussions.

Comfortable and Secure Hostel Accommodation

The institute provides a well-furnished hostel facility separate for boys & girls. The aim of the hostel is to make it a home away from home. Apart from the infrastructural soundness, it provides sufficient scope for interaction and relationship-building. Dr. Pooja Jain: At JIMS we endeavor to work closely with the leaders from prominent Indian and transnational corporations. Our constant engagement with the industry leaders opens an array of opportunities for the PGDM students willing to join esteemed brands after the completion of the course. The frequent interactions on contemporary issues of global and national importance enable students and faculty to stay abreast with the current practices being adopted by the functional department of the corporations.

We have also ventured into extensive consultation with leading corporate leaders to upgrade PGDM Curriculum. This practice has provided us the impetus to incorporate relevant inputs to meet the industry requirement, and groom the analytical and theoretical skills of the students. At JIMS, the learned faculty encourages students to undertake industry projects, presentations, case studies, research work, and work as trainees to gain practical experience in an industrial working environment.

Careers360: Internships are now mandatory as per AICTE guidelines. Does the institute help students with this? If yes, how?

Dr. Pooja Jain: Considering the pedagogy, we follow at JIMS, we engage and empower the students by allowing them to discuss, debate, and solve real business challenges through Outbound Experiential Learning that comprise Field/Live Projects, Industry Research Project, Social Sensitization Projects among other activities that are a part of the PGDM curriculum.

We have widened the scope of the Summer Internship covering national and international companies. The 6-8 weeks internship program is designed to give a reality check before they enter the actual corporate world.

The JIMS hostel aims to provide a homely atmosphere away from home to the students. The rooms are spacious with windows opening to the balcony. Other hostel facilities include a common room and a dining hall. Apart from the solid infrastructure, it provides ample space for interaction and relationship building.

Hope you are doing well.  The total fees for BBA at JIMS Vasant Kunj is Rs. 2.46 lakhs. The highest package offered is Rs. 10 LPA and the average package offered is Rs. 5LPA . Comapnies like Godrej, HT Digital Streams, PlanetSpark , Genesis BCW, Blue Frog Solution Pvt Ltd, Mastree come here to hire students.

The total fees for BBA at IITM Janakpuri  is Rs. 2.7 lakhs. The highest package offered is Rs. 5 LPA and the average package offered is Rs. 3LPA . Comapnies like KPMG, Deloitte, TCS, Wipro, Infosys,  come here to hire students.

I think BBA at JIMS Vasant Kunj is a better option because of the internship and placement assistance provided and the highest salary package offered.

The infrastructure available at Chandigarh University is Dance Room , Library, Gym, Hospital / Medical Facilities, Music Room, Wi-Fi Campus, Auditorium, etc. The infrastructure availabel to students at IPU include, A/C Classrooms, Library, Wi-Fi Campus, Hostel, Sports Complex, Shuttle Service, Auditorium,etc,.

The average package offered to students at Chandigarh University is around Rs. 5 lakhs and the highest package offered is around Rs. 10 lakhs. Companies like Google, Microsoft, TCS, Amazon, Wipro etc,. hire students from here.
