In this interview, Mr. Jithin speaks about his experiences at East Point College of Higher Education.
Careers360: Tell us about your domain and your work profile. At the professional level, did you pursue the same field you were interested in or did you switch?
Mr. Jithin: I work in the talent solutions and recruitment industry, with a specialisation in Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO). As the Vertical Head – Sales at The Adecco Group India, one of the world’s largest talent solutions companies, I lead enterprise sales initiatives focused on scalable hiring solutions across various sectors.
Although my initial interest was in general business and management, I discovered a strong passion for talent strategy and human capital development early in my career. This field uniquely combines relationship management, strategic thinking, and measurable business impact—areas that have always resonated with me. While I hadn’t originally planned to pursue a career in HR solutions, the transition happened organically and has turned out to be a perfect alignment with my strengths and long-term aspirations.
Careers360: Can you briefly tell us about your career path so far?
Mr. Jithin: My career began in business development and sales roles at organizations like Jaro Education and PeoplePlus. Over the years, I progressed into leadership positions in HR service giants such as ManpowerGroup and Randstad. Today, I serve as the Vertical Head – Sales, RPO at The Adecco Group. My journey has been shaped by a strong focus on client-centricity, consultative sales, and building agile recruitment strategies. I've had the privilege of managing national-level accounts, leading high-performing teams, and receiving several recognitions for sales excellence. Each phase has offered rich learning experiences and opportunities to grow both as a leader and a strategist.
Careers360: Is the industry work different from what you learnt at East Point College of Higher Education?
Mr. Jithin: The fundamentals I learned at East Point—especially in business communication, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills—have proven extremely valuable in the real world. While the pace and complexity of the industry are far greater, the foundational knowledge from college gave me the tools to adapt quickly. Industry work demands a dynamic approach, the ability to think on your feet, and continuous learning. East Point equipped me with the confidence and mindset to embrace these challenges. The transition from academics to corporate life was smoother because of the holistic exposure I received during my college years.
Careers360: How do you think your time in college has added value to your life, both professional and personal?
Mr. Jithin: East Point College of Higher Education played a pivotal role in shaping who I am today. Professionally, it helped build a strong base in business principles and communication, which are essential in my field. The exposure to group projects, presentations, and real-world case studies enhanced my ability to think critically and lead with confidence. On a personal level, the friendships and mentorship I received at East Point taught me the value of collaboration, resilience, and staying grounded. It was more than just academics—it was a life experience that continues to influence how I approach challenges and relationships, both at work and beyond.
Careers360: What was your initial thought process when you joined East Point College of Higher Education?
Mr. Jithin: When I joined East Point, I was driven by the desire to build a strong educational foundation that would open doors for my future. The institution's focus on both academic excellence and overall development appealed to me. I was particularly drawn to the supportive learning environment and the faculty’s commitment to student growth. I saw it as a place where I could not only learn but also evolve into a confident professional. Looking back, that decision was one of the most important steps in my career journey—it laid the groundwork for everything that followed.

Mr. Jithin: Absolutely—I cherish my time at East Point even today. It was a phase filled with learning, laughter, and lifelong friendships. I miss the informal chats with faculty, brainstorming sessions during group projects, and the excitement of college events. One fond memory is participating in a college fest where I took the lead on organising a marketing campaign—it sparked my early interest in strategic thinking. The sense of community and the vibrant campus life made every day feel like a new opportunity to grow and connect. I do miss those simpler yet defining moments.
Careers360: Briefly take us through your life on campus, the activities you used to do, and your routine life.
Mr. Jithin: Life at East Point was a blend of discipline and discovery. My day typically started with lectures, followed by group assignments, library sessions, or faculty interactions. The campus was always buzzing with students preparing for events, clubs meeting, or sports activities in full swing. I regularly engaged with peers for case studies and discussions, which sharpened my analytical thinking. Evenings often included spending time with friends on campus or participating in extracurricular clubs. It was a well-rounded experience that gave me both academic structure and social enrichment.
Careers360: Apart from academics, what were the other activities you were involved in, and how did it enrich your life?
Mr. Jithin: I actively took part in college fests, business simulation events, and inter-college competitions. I was also involved in organising seminars and guest lectures, which helped me build leadership and project management skills. These experiences taught me how to collaborate, communicate, and lead under pressure—skills that are crucial in the corporate world. Beyond that, they gave me confidence and broadened my horizons beyond textbooks. Participating in these activities helped me discover my strengths and prepared me for real-world scenarios long before I entered the job market.

Mr. Jithin: East Point College maintained strong industry-academia connections, which played a big role in shaping our understanding of market demands. Regular industry expert sessions, alumni talks, and career workshops kept us informed about evolving trends. The faculty also encouraged reading business journals, case studies, and digital platforms. Additionally, our curriculum was regularly updated to include practical subjects aligned with industry needs.
