Careers360: Tell us something about yourself.

Nandini: I am Nandini, and I am currently pursuing an MBA in Finance programme at IM-BHU. Born and raised in Buxar, Bihar, I completed my schooling there and later earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Allahabad. I am passionate about content writing and reading, and I enjoy meeting new people to broaden my perspectives and build meaningful connections.

Careers360: What were the factors that made you choose IM-BHU?

Nandini: The exceptional return on investment for the MBA programme was a major factor. IM-BHU offers quality education at an affordable cost. Additionally, the vibrant campus life and the presence of multiple faculties and departments create a diverse and inclusive environment that is hard to find elsewhere. This diversity enriches learning both academically and socially.

Careers360: What was the first thing you noticed about the campus and life at IM-BHU?

Nandini: The vast and picturesque campus with its lush greenery and historic architecture stood out immediately. The vibrant student life, enriched by diverse individuals from various backgrounds, also caught my attention. Friends and family who are proud IM-BHU alumni further reinforced my positive impression of the university.

Careers360: What were the initial challenges faced by you at the campus?

Nandini: Adapting to the sheer scale of the university was initially challenging. Navigating the mammoth campus required a lot of walking, which took time to get used to. However, the experience helped me develop healthier habits and appreciate the vastness of IM-BHU.

Careers360: What do you think are unique facilities offered at IM-BHU?

Nandini: IM-BHU offers excellent facilities to support student development. From well-equipped hostels to free bus services during class hours, the university ensures convenience. The Sir Sundarlal Hospital provides free medical services, and counseling facilities support mental health. These resources reflect IM-BHU’s commitment to holistic student well-being.

Careers360: Give us a glimpse of the daily routine followed by you at the IM-BHU campus.

Nandini: My day begins with meditation and breakfast at the hostel mess, followed by classes from 10 a.m. At 1 p.m., the university observes a lunch break, and I return to the hostel for lunch before resuming classes, which wrap up by 5 p.m. Evenings are spent on assignments, exam preparation, or extracurricular activities.

Careers360: If you were to rate one favorite thing at the IM-BHU campus, what would it be?

Nandini: The inclusive culture at IM-BHU is my favorite aspect. The university brings together students from diverse backgrounds, creating a harmonious and vibrant community.

Careers360: How would you rate the campus facilities?

Nandini: I would rate the campus facilities 9/10. The well-maintained hostels, libraries, sports facilities, and transportation services contribute to a great student experience.

Careers360: Which areas do you think can do with some improvement?

Nandini: The curriculum needs continuous updates to align with global trends and industry requirements. While the academic framework is strong, regular modernization is essential.

Careers360: Peer groups generally leave long-lasting impressions. What is your opinion on the peer groups at IM-BHU?

Nandini: My peer group at IM-BHU Varanasi is one of the most exciting parts of my MBA journey. Interacting with talented and hardworking individuals has made this experience enriching. I believe the bonds formed here will last a lifetime.

Careers360: What are the regular fun activities at IM-BHU?

Nandini: IM-BHU hosts various events such as Unnayan (the cultural fest), Pratispardha (the sports event), and Ransangram (the management event). These activities balance academic rigor with fun, making campus life dynamic.

Careers360: Name some of the prominent clubs at IM-BHU. Which ones are you part of?

Nandini: Prominent clubs include Vis Vires (cultural club), Kalpvriksha (management club), the sports club, and Sevarth (social services club). I volunteer for these clubs whenever possible, as they are essential for personal growth and leadership development.

Careers360: Extracurricular activities cover a lot of things. Name some activities that you participate in.

Nandini: I actively participate in the Brand Baaja Bazaar business quiz, which sharpens my critical thinking and enhances my understanding of business concepts.

Careers360: Stress busters are important. What are yours?

Nandini: I enjoy walking around the campus, playing badminton, and visiting the central library to unwind and relax.

Careers360: If you had to describe your campus in a nutshell, what would that be?

Nandini: IM-BHU is a perfect blend of tradition and modernity, offering an environment of academic excellence, cultural richness, and personal growth.

Careers360: What would you miss most about the campus after you leave?

Nandini: I will miss the camaraderie, cultural diversity, and serene ambiance. The memories of hostel life, meaningful interactions, and the welcoming environment will always hold a special place in my heart.

Admission to MBA program in BHU is done through CAT for which eligibility criteria is passed Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized university with 50% aggregate, in case of SC/ST/PWD it's 45%. CAT scores are assigned 50%, academic records hold 20% weightage, Group discussion and Interview which is conducted by FMS, BHU holds 30% weightage.
