Careers360: As part of IM-BHU’s alumni, how often do you meet with the other members? How does the network support each member?
Abhinav Kumar: Alumni meetings are held annually, and informal meet-ups are frequent. The network supports members by providing job referrals, mentorship, and collaboration opportunities.
Careers360: How do the alumni support current students at IM-BHU? Are you involved in these activities? If yes, please give details.
Abhinav Kumar: Alumni contribute by organising guest lectures, mentoring students, and offering internships. I have been involved in guiding students on career planning and conducting workshops.
Careers360: There is much talk of practical experience and a curriculum in sync with the industry as well as keeping up with technological advancements. What is your opinion on this? What would you suggest to today’s students on this?
Abhinav Kumar: Practical experience is essential, and the curriculum must evolve with industry needs. Students should focus on gaining hands-on experience through internships and learning emerging technologies like AI, data analytics, and digital marketing.
