Careers360: Tell us something about yourself.
Debayudh Mukherji: I had been working in Deloitte USI for close to 3 years. I started in the Financial & Advisory services domain where I worked in a banking project related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML). My job role was to perform KYC remediation of clients of a global bank. During this time I developed an interest towards the Banking and Financial Services domain. I realized that I need to have a deep understanding of the business function to expand my knowledge and exposure.
After the banking project, I worked in the Security Operations Centre (SOC) in the Cyber Detect & Respond domain as a solution delivery associate. My job role was data logs monitoring to check for any threats with the help of SIEM tools like Splunk and Qradar. During this time I learnt about cyber security threats, threat remediation methods and also had a chance to interact with various clients. I received appreciation from my manager and also received an Applause Award for proper handling of clients and for mentoring new joiners. This project helped me develop myself as a team worker and hone my leadership skills.
During my college days and also while in service, I realized that I need to gain marketing, finance and business analytics skills to understand the market scenario better and MBA is the optimum path that will lead me forward.
After completing the MBA programme, I wish to return to working in the industry and apply my learnings at a practical level for the benefit of the company and clients. My ultimate aim is to see myself managing a large group of people and becoming a business leader.
