IIM Ranchi scholarships will enable meritorious but financially weak students with an opportunity to pursue their education at a leading management institution at minimal costs. IIM Ranchi is currently ranked 15th in the NIRF and is an institution of national importance. The scholarships provided by IIM Ranchi have kept the vision of the institute’s Strategic Plan in mind which is to be globally present and locally relevant. To ensure that the IIM Ranchi scholarships reach out to a diverse group of needy but meritorious students, the criteria for the award of the scholarship is a parental income cap and excludes students who have availed of any other scholarships.
Apart from Scholarships provided by IIM Ranchi, students must also apply for appropriate scholarships through the National Scholarship Portal and any other state government-provided scholarships. IIM Ranchi scholarships fall under different categories as listed below.
Merit-based IIM Ranchi scholarship: Given to candidates with extraordinary academic performance at school and graduation level along with exceptional performance in MBA entrance exams.
Need-Based IIM Ranchi scholarship: Given to candidates coming from poor backgrounds.
Diversity and Gender-based IIM Ranchi scholarship: Given to candidates coming from diverse religious and cultural backgrounds.
External IIM Ranchi scholarship: Given to students by companies that employ MBA graduates to bring new talent into their workspace.
The eligibility criteria for the IIM Ranchi scholarship tend to vary as per the policies of the institute and the way the scholarship schemes are designed. The basic eligibility criteria for the IIM Ranchi scholarship are as follows:

IIM Ranchi scholarships will be provided to 25 students every year.
Students in the MBA, MBA-Business Analytics, MBA-Human Resources Management programs, and Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) at the Institute will be eligible for the scholarships.
The value of the Scholarships is around Rs. 1 crore every year.
Additionally, the scholarship award criteria provide weightage to differently-abled students (divyangs) or belong to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories.
All eligible students who will be admitted in the upcoming Academic Year (2023-24) or are currently studying in the covered programmes in the Institute will be able to apply for the Merit Cum Means Scholarship.
