IIM Ranchi CutoffIIM Ranchi Cutoff - Relatively new when compared to the grand old IIMs which have existed for decades, IIM Ranchi has managed to seamlessly follow the sterling path laid by its predecessors. The ninth IIM to be instituted, the institute is known for its flagship two-year PGDM in General Management, a full-time two-year programme in Human Resources Management (PGDHRM), Fellow Programme in Management (FPM), 24-month part-time Diploma in Management (PGEXP) and a fellowship programme funded by the Government. The IIM Ranchi Cutoff is set at more than 90 percentile for General category candidates since 2014, same as that for the older IIMs. Let us find out more about IIM Ranchi Cutoffs and other information about the institute.

IIM Ranchi recently released the cutoffs for CAT 2017. The same is given below. The institute hasn't changed CAT cutoff for General category this year.

In comparison to previous year, IIM Ranchi has lowered the CAT cutoff for all the categories except General category. The sectional and overall cutoff for General category remains the same as last year but there is a relaxation for the students of other categories. The institute shortlists candidates on the basis of their CAT score and calls them for WAT and PI rounds. Read on to know more about IIM Ranchi's previous years' CAT cutoffs.

For the General Category candidates, the sectional cutoff for Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VARC) is higher than that of the other sections. The same is applicable for Quantitative Ability, as well as for Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning. The IIM Ranchi cutoff was more or less similar to the 2015 cutoff which shows that the institute has maintained a consistency of sorts. Check the table below for CAT 2015 cutoff for IIM Ranchi.

Compared to the year 2014 where Section 1 was a merger of Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation and Section 2 a merger of Logical Reasoning and Verbal Ability, the sectional IIM Ranchi Cutoff for 2015 went up a bit. For General candidates, it went up by 10 percentile. For NC-OBC candidates, sectional cutoffs shot up by nine percentile. The SC and ST category cutoffs have remained the same. The DAP or PWD category cutoff for sections and overall increased by five percentile.

CAT 2014 featured two sections which were Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation and Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning. For General Candidates, the IIM Ranchi cutoff for both sections was 70, whereas for SC candidates it was 60 and for ST candidates it was 50. For NC-OBC candidates the cutoffs for both sections was 63 and for those under PWD it was 55.

 

Fast Facts about IIM Ranchi

 

The Indian Institute of Management, Ranchi, was established as the ninth IIM in the year 2010. One of the newer IIMs to be established, it is located in the state of Jharkhand and functions as a public business school.

 

Programmes: It offers the following full-time post-graduate programmes:

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) - Two-year, full-time programme

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM) - Two-year, full-time programme

  • Five Year Fellowship Programme and Executive Programmes for Experienced Professionals

Fee: Approx. Rs. 12.5 lakh

Admission: Common Admission Test (CAT) Scores

 

The selection of candidates for admission to PGP at IIM Ranchi is a two-step process.

 

In the first step, candidates are short-listed based on their CAT scores, then called for a Personal Interview and a Written Ability Test. Candidates with prior work experience are given higher weightage. For the final selection, the Personal Interview component is given maximum weightage of 35 per cent.

hai.

for any iim institutes they only consider cat score they won't consider any other examination.

so with mat score you can't get admission in iims.

Hi .. my scores are 10th :72% ,12th:63%,B.E:6.5 ,3 years work exp .i am working hard for CAT exams is it possible i could get any IIM .

Not the Top IIM but any IIM or even any Good Private Institute.... should i continue my my preparation or i should not go for MBA

My cat per'le=80 ,obc ,Xth=79.9%,XIIth=63.2%,Btech=64.5%,Male,Fresher.Got call from IIM Ranchi,rohtak,kashi,udai, Should I go for WAT & PI ?

Or would it be total waste of time ? Because of low CAT and academics would i get anything?? I am currently doing mtech in NIT WARANGAL, So no experience.
