With internal security, guards, and CCTV in numerous places, DU and JNU are typically safe and secure campuses, particularly during the day. However, occasional instances of theft, harassment, or altercations may happen, usually late at night or outside of campus areas, much like at any large public university. While DU's broad campuses necessitate greater individual vigilance, JNU is more restricted and residential. Though awareness is crucial, they are often not very dangerous.

i am a student (ba eng hons) at deshbandhu college (du) and due to may things going on couldn't fill out my sem 1 examination and my exams are going on I don't know if i will be able to give my exams in sem 3 or my admission will be cancelled.

You missed Sem 1 exams at Deshbandhu College (DU) and fear you can't give Sem 3 exams or your admission gets cancelled. Do this: Go to college admin/exam department and explain your situation. i am pcb student in 12th and wanted to do ba psychology from du can i choose subjects other than pcb ..like psychology and more ..but I haven't studied them in 12th ..so can i take them as domain subjects as it is said that only those subjects can be chosen as domain which are studied in 12 th

If you are a PCB student and want to apply for BA Psychology at Delhi University, you can still choose Psychology as a CUET domain subject even though you didn’t study it in Class 12. DU allows students from any stream to pick subjects like Psychology, Sociology, or Political Science for CUET. The idea that only Class 12 subjects can be chosen as domain subjects is a common confusion, but it doesn’t apply to most DU programmes, including BA Psychology.

Some colleges may prefer students with a background in the subject, but it isn’t a compulsory requirement. Your CUET score is what ultimately matters for admission. Since Psychology will be new for you, it helps to start preparing early so you can score well in CUET. All the best.

If you want to cancel your admission to DU SOL, then you can contact the college administration in writing. You must submit a formal application to request a refund of the admission fees and obtain the receipt. The refund process will be in accordance with UGC guidelines and will depend on the timing of your admission cancellation. You have to follow these steps to cancel the admission procedure.

Step 1: Write a formal application which is based on the cancellation of admission.
Step 2: Submit the application to the college administration. After submitting the application, you should get an acknowledgement receipt.
Step 3: Wait for the response and take back those documents which you gave to the college at the time of admission.

If you mean cancelling your DU SOL admission, then yes — it is possible, but you have to follow the proper procedure. You need to log in to your DU SOL admission portal and look for the option “Cancel Admission / Withdrawal” and submit the required confirmation. In some cases, especially if the document verification is already completed, you may need to write an application for cancellation and submit it to the DU SOL office.

Keep in mind that if you have already paid the fee, the refund policy varies depending on the stage of cancellation. If you cancel early, there are higher chances of receiving a refund.
