A: I am Meenakshi from Patiala, Punjab. I am a confident individual looking for constant improvement and having interests in music, singing, poetry, and novels. Apart from this, I also play basketball and badminton.
Careers360: What programme or major are you currently enrolled in, and what factors did you consider while choosing Chitkara University and its programme?
A: I am in my first year of Bachelor's in Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology at Chitkara School of Health Sciences, Chitkara University. My journey began with an interest in the MRIT programme. Going deeper, I found that Chitkara University was the perfect option for me. The Chitkara University facilities such as excellent faculty, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and convenient proximity to my home made it the obvious choice for me. Moreover, other factors like Chitkara University’s commitment to providing holistic education and practical learning experiences further made my decision final, to enrol here.
Careers360: What does the admissions process at Chitkara University look like?
A: The Chitkara University admissions process is simple. I just did an online registration and received the offer of acceptance. Then, the classes started soon along with orientation, where the teachers were very warm and helpful.
Careers360: How do you manage your time to balance academics, extracurricular activities, and social life? Any academic challenges you faced?
A: I have learned effective time management skills to maintain balance in university life. In between classes, I play badminton at the Chitkara University Sportorium, and during lunch breaks, I spend time with my friends on the Chitkara University campus. I have not faced any significant academic challenges yet; however, Chitkara University’s faculty members and learning environment have greatly contributed to my academic journey so far.
Careers360: Are you involved in any clubs, sports, or organisations on campus? How do these activities contribute to your overall college experience?
A: Yes, I am involved in badminton and basketball sports. The Chitkara University Sportorium has well-maintained badminton courts, where I engage in various friendly matches. Also, I regularly participate in basketball games as well which enhances my physical fitness and nurtures my social confidence. I am also part of Literary and Music Clubs, namely Literayllis and Dhwani at Chitkara University Chandigarh.
Careers360: How has college helped you grow personally and professionally? How does college help you stay updated on relevant industry trends or academic resources?
A: Each student at Chitkara University is assigned a mentor throughout the academic journey. Moreover, the Chitkara University placements also organises workshops, events, and conferences to keep us abreast of the latest industry trends and academic resources. Currently, the university is hosting the 12th International Advanced Techniques Conference, featuring four tracks delivered by experts and renowned professionals across various healthcare fields. This helps students with hands-on learning experiences and networking opportunities, making us well-rounded individuals.
Careers360: Could you give details on the industry connection that is inbuilt with the course at Chitkara University and its advantages?
A: The industry connections provide students like me hands-on learning and real-world experience. We do various field trips at leading hospitals, and even get a chance to intern at top hospitals. The experience of working alongside professionals and gaining practical skills benefits us in our future careers.

A: Firstly, the alumni work as mentors, providing guidance and insights based on their experience in the industry. Chitkara University’s alumni network provides alumni-led workshops, industry events, and informal meetups with successful individuals who can offer valuable advice and even potential job opportunities.
Careers360: Internships are an integral part of any student’s life. Please talk about the internship process at your institution/university and how it leads to students being placement ready?
A: The internship process is well structured, as told by my seniors. The process begins with the student's career interests and goals. Then Chitkara University placements arrange interviews with hospitals, companies, or research organisations. The internship experience helps students gaining practical knowledge, hands-on experience, and exposure to real-world work environments.

A: From the first step in the campus, I was greeted by a supportive community that helped in shaping my academic and personal growth. The culture of innovation and curiosity at Chitkara University has helped in exploring new ideas.
