Careers360: Tell us something about yourself such as from which place are you from?
Sakshi Jaiswal: Hi! I’m Sakshi Jaiswal, originally from Nepal. I’ve always been interested in business and management, so I decided to pursue my MBA from IMRT, Lucknow. It’s been a great journey so far!
Careers360: Presently which course are you pursuing and in which year are you?
Sakshi Jaiswal: I’m currently in the second year of my MBA program here at IMRT. The course is affiliated with AKTU.
Careers360: Did you face any difficulty in the initial months when you joined the institute?
Sakshi Jaiswal: Honestly, just like with any new place, the first few days were a little overwhelming. But the seniors were helpful, and the teachers were very supportive. Within no time, I settled in and started enjoying the environment.
Careers360: What activities are offered in the institute? Are there any clubs etc. for the various extracurricular activities? Which ones have you taken up and are a part of?
Sakshi Jaiswal: Yes, IMRT has a lot of activities! We have cultural fests like Fusion Fest, Dandiya Nights, debates, sports events, and even industrial visits. There are clubs for creativity, communication, and leadership. I’m a part of the cultural and creativity club — we organize events and also take part in them. It’s a lot of fun!
Careers360: Describe a typical day at your institute – what do you do from the time you wake up till you go to sleep?
Sakshi Jaiswal: A usual day starts with classes — we have smart classrooms and interactive sessions. After classes, sometimes we have club meetings or training sessions. If there’s an event coming up, we prepare for that. Evenings are mostly relaxed — we chill with friends, go to the library, or just hang out in the hostel common room.
Careers360: Tell us about the faculty-student ratio here and about the teacher-student relationship in your understanding.
Sakshi Jaiswal: The faculty-student ratio is good enough that we get individual attention. Teachers are really friendly and approachable. If we have doubts or need help with projects, they are always ready to support us — even outside class hours.
Careers360: What all facilities do you have in the campus? What do you like here the most which you feel is unique and differentiating?
Sakshi Jaiswal: We have everything a student needs — smart classrooms, a computer lab, library, indoor games, and separate hostels for boys and girls. One thing that stands out is the emphasis on overall development — not just academics. The focus on soft skills and personality development is something I really like.
Careers360: How comfortable are your hostels and how about the cleanliness factor over there?
Sakshi Jaiswal: The hostels are quite comfortable and clean. The rooms are well-maintained and the hostel warden is cooperative. We have a dining hall as well, and hygiene is taken seriously.
Careers360: What about the medical facilities? Can you avail requisite medical attention if needed in an emergency?
Sakshi Jaiswal: While we don’t have a hospital inside campus, the college helps if there's any emergency. There are nearby clinics and hospitals, and the management ensures we get timely help if required.
Careers360: How do you balance your studies, projects, exams and other activities?
Sakshi Jaiswal: It’s all about time management. The schedule is pretty balanced — we get time for assignments, group work, and events. And the teachers also guide us on how to manage stress and workload, which helps a lot during exam time.
Careers360: Tell us about the clubs and societies at the campus and how significant are they from your point of view or students point of view?
Sakshi Jaiswal: The clubs here are a big part of our experience. They help us build confidence, work in teams, and improve our communication and leadership skills. For me, being part of a club has taught things that no textbook ever could.
Careers360: Is there any in-house magazine or journal for the latest events or happenings at the institute?
Sakshi Jaiswal: Yes, we have something called “IMRT Diary” where we document our learning during industrial visits and other activities. It’s like a creative space for students to express their experiences.
Careers360: What are the popular hangouts at the institute? What, according to you, are the most-visited places nearby?
Sakshi Jaiswal: On campus, students hang out in the hostel lounge, library, or the open lawns. Off-campus, we sometimes plan group outings to places like Rishikesh or Manali — the college organizes trips too, which are really fun and memorable!
Careers360: How do you spend your leisure time at the campus?
Sakshi Jaiswal: Leisure time is either spent playing indoor games like chess or carrom, or just catching up with friends. Sometimes we rehearse for events or just relax and watch movies together in the hostel.
Careers360: Do you have any Facebook page of your campus where the students express their views, jokes or ideas, or maybe even a blog where they write about their experience of life at campus?
Sakshi Jaiswal: Yes, IMRT has an official Facebook page where updates, events, and student achievements are shared. Some students also share fun moments and express their thoughts there.
Careers360: What type of companies come for campus recruitment and what percentage of students get placed every year? How is the recruitment process here?
Sakshi Jaiswal: The placement cell is very active here. Companies like HCL, Coca-Cola, IDFC Bank and P&G visit the campus. Most students get placed with packages around 4.5 to 12 LPA. The training starts early with resume building, group discussions, mock interviews, and aptitude prep — all taken care of by the placement team.
