Careers360: Tell us something about yourself. (a bit of the background like graduation, place and any such thing)
Hi! I’m Kriti Jaiswal from Gorakhpur. I completed my graduation in BBA from Lucknow University. I always had an inclination towards management and leadership roles, which is why I decided to go for an MBA.
Careers360: Tell us something about your IMRT Campus and what made you choose it?
IMRT in Lucknow has a positive and vibrant environment. The infrastructure is modern — with smart classrooms, computer labs, and a great library. What really drew me here was the emphasis on holistic development. It’s not just about books and lectures, but personality development, communication skills, leadership, and industrial exposure. Plus, the 100% placement assistance also gave me confidence in the decision.
Careers360: What is the course you are pursuing at IMRT and what made you choose this specialisation?
I’m pursuing an MBA with a specialisation in Marketing. I chose Marketing because I enjoy interacting with people, understanding customer behaviour, and thinking creatively. The faculty here really encouraged my interest in this area with real-life case studies and industry examples.
Careers360: Summer internship is mandatory in IMRT campus. Where did you pursue it and what was the duration? What were the steps to get into it?
Yes, summer internship is mandatory. I did my internship at Flipkart for a duration of 8 weeks. The selection process started with applying through the placement cell — we had to submit our CVs and attend an interview. The placement team helped us shortlist companies based on our interests and strengths.
Careers360: Please give details on the assistance you received from the faculty, peers and placement office with regard to the internships?
The placement office was super helpful. They guided us at every step — from preparing our resumes to mock interviews. Faculty mentors helped us understand the kind of roles we should aim for, and our seniors shared their own internship experiences which really helped calm the nerves. Peer support was great too — we worked in groups to prepare for interviews.
Careers360: How was your experience with the summer internships? What are the key takeaways that you can look back on from it?
The internship was an eye-opener. I got to apply classroom concepts to real-life scenarios, which gave me clarity on how marketing works in the actual world. I learned about customer engagement, campaign analysis, and product positioning. One of the biggest takeaways was learning to communicate professionally and manage time effectively in a corporate environment. It really boosted my confidence!
