Careers 360: Tell us about your domain and your work profile. At the professional level, did you pursue the same field you were interested in or did you switch?
Mr. Vijh: I am the CEO & Principal Officer of Alpha Insurance Marketing LLP, an insurance advisory firm. I have been in the insurance and financial services industry since completing my MBA. The program helped me develop a strong foundation in marketing and IT, which aligns well with my role today. I remained in my chosen field of marketing but expanded into the financial services domain.
Careers 360: Can you briefly tell us about your career path so far?
Mr. Vijh: After completing my MBA in 2001, I started my career in the insurance industry, holding various leadership positions in marketing and business development. Over the years, I gained extensive experience in strategic planning, client relationship management, and market expansion, which eventually led me to establish Alpha Insurance Marketing LLP.
Careers 360: Is the industry work different from what you learnt at The Institute of Management, Nirma University?
Mr. Vijh: While the industry offers practical challenges that are sometimes different from classroom learning, the core concepts taught at Nirma were invaluable. The curriculum was comprehensive, focusing on both theoretical and practical aspects, and it equipped me with the critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills needed to navigate real-world situations.
Careers 360: How do you think your time in college has added value to your life, both professional and personal?
Mr. Vijh: My time at the Institute of Management, Nirma University was transformative. Professionally, it provided me with a strong foundation in marketing and IT, which has been crucial in my career. Personally, it helped me develop essential soft skills like leadership, teamwork, and effective communication, which have enriched my personal and professional relationships.
Careers 360: What was your initial thought process when you joined the Institute of Management, Nirma University?
Mr. Vijh: When I joined Nirma, my primary goal was to gain a deeper understanding of marketing and technology to advance my career. I was drawn to the institute’s reputation for academic excellence and its industry-oriented curriculum, and it exceeded my expectations.
Careers 360: You must have spent a memorable time at you’re the Institute of Management,Nirma University . Do you miss being a part of it? Share a few good memories.
Mr. Vijh: Absolutely, I have many fond memories of my time at Nirma. One of the most memorable experiences was participating in group projects and case studies, which fostered strong friendships and a collaborative spirit. The annual cultural events and management fests were also highlights that added a fun dimension to our rigorous academic life.
Careers 360: Briefly take us through your life at the campus, the activities you used to do, and your routine life.
As a part-time MBA student, balancing work and studies was challenging yet rewarding. My routine included attending evening classes, participating in group discussions, and preparing for presentations. Despite the busy schedule, I made time to engage in campus activities, which enriched my learning experience and expanded my network.
Careers 360: Apart from academics, what were the other activities you were involved in, and how did they enrich your life?
Mr. Vijh: I actively participated in industry seminars, workshops, and networking events organized by the institute. These activities provided exposure to industry trends, allowed me to interact with professionals, and enhanced my understanding of practical business challenges. They also helped build a network that has been invaluable throughout my career.
Careers 360: How did you keep updated with the industrial requirements, and what was the role of the institute in it?
Mr. Vijh: Nirma Institute of Management played a vital role in keeping us updated with industry trends through guest lectures, industry interactions, and access to a robust library. The curriculum was regularly updated to reflect market needs, and the faculty encouraged us to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world problems.

It is good to see institutions like NMIMS have selected you for master of law based on your CLAT PG scores. If we compare the three then to be very clear:
For the best academic value and recognition choose NMIMS, or the Nirma University is also good. The DNLU is newer and can be considered as well but if we choose any one, then it is NMIMS.
