Question. Tell us something about the institute; when it was set up, vision and mission

Question. Tell us something about the admission process?
Answer. The IMM admission process ensures the right mix of talent pool. IMM Business School considers high scoring candidates in CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ ATMA along with a good academic score in graduation. Candidates shortlisted based on the entrance test scores have to appear for the IMM GD process which is followed by 2 PI processes. IMM also gives special weightage to co-curricular activities and prior work experience.

Question. What kind of infrastructure can students expect at the institute? Please elaborate?
Answer. IMM is situated in the prestigious Qutab Institutional Area. IIFT, IIT, IMI and Fore School are in the same vicinity making it a vibrant student hub. The IMM Delhi campus has a lush green area with an open cafeteria. It has a state of the art library with the latest publications of journals and books. The campus has a digital library too to facilitate outreach to the e-journals and all digital materials and tools for academic excellence. The campus has a gymnasium facility with a snooker pool table for students. Indoor and outdoor game facilities are offered to students to nurture their sports curricular activities.

Question. There is a lot of stress that is being made with regard to interaction with the industry as well as companies that recruit. What are the steps that have been taken by the institute in this direction?
Answer. Industry connection at IMM is an integral aspect of the curriculum studies. Industry personnel guest interaction sessions are organized by the institute. The industry people are also engaged in teaching the academic curriculum to students. Students do live projects with organizations i.e. while studying in the classroom they are working on the real time problems of an organization and solving them.
Students are made to go to industrial units to see the real time working of the organization and interact with the executives there and gather the required insights. Business Simulation Technique sessions are being organized to make students be aware of the SOPs of an organization. These activities together ensure a very strong mix of academic and industry insights.
I personally share the spiritual, value-based and powerful philosophy of Total Quality Person (TQP) as a workshop with all the students of IMM to ensure their holistic and integrated personality enrichment which helps them deal with stress and other contemporary challenges
Trainers as well as HR leaders from industry groom students on the extempore, assessment tests, aptitude test, GD, PI and CEO rounds. Mock GD PI sessions are conducted. Current awareness and industry perspective of each academic chapter are being taught by alumni, industry people and faculty members so that students have full confidence in front of the interview panel during a job interview.
Live case-based studies are integral in IMM Business School academics wherein live cases and research are referred to while teaching academic concepts.

Question. Internships are now mandatory as per AICTE guidelines. Does the institute help students with this? If yes, how?
Answer. Yes, internship is a mandatory part of the IMM curriculum. Course credits are allocated to students for pursuing internships. The institute conducts a campus drive for the summer internship opportunities for students. Three aspects that are majorly looked into during the internships are - learning out of the project, deliverables to the company and way ahead on the initiatives and inputs given by students during the internship. The dissertation and VIVA is presented by the student to the panel.
Leading recruiters across all domains of industry are invited to the IMM campus to select interns. Students pursue their internships under the able guidance of the senior executives of the industry.
