Careers360: Tell us something about yourself.
Bharti Sharma: I'm Bharti Sharma, born and raised in Mumbai. I completed my schooling here and hold a Master’s degree in Commerce from the University of Mumbai and a Bachelor's in Management Studies. I have two years of experience as a Recruitment Consultant at Origin HR and recently interned at JM Financial Services, where I focused on strategic talent acquisition. I’m actively involved in co-curriculars as the co-head of the Synergy Club and a core member of IBS Mumbai's Conduct Committee. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, traveling, and photography.
Careers360: Tell us something about your IBS campus and what made you choose it.
Bharti Sharma: IBS Mumbai offers a well-equipped campus with modern facilities such as large lecture halls, a library, SAP Lab, Gen AI Lab, and Bloomberg terminals. The campus also boasts a strong placement record. My sister, an alumna of IBS Mumbai, had a successful career here, which influenced my decision to join. The approachable faculty and supportive environment further convinced me this was the right place to shape my career.
Careers360: What is the course you are pursuing at IBS, and what made you choose this specialisation?
Bharti Sharma: I’m pursuing a PGPM with a specialisation in HR. This field aligns with my interest in people management and my passion for creating a positive work environment. I believe HR offers the opportunity to build a fulfilling career by utilizing my natural strengths.

Careers360: Summer internship is mandatory in all IBS campuses. Where did you pursue it, and what was the duration? What were the steps to get into it?
Bharti Sharma: I interned at JM Financial Services for three months. The process for securing the internship involves companies visiting campus, followed by an aptitude test, group discussion, and interviews. The internship holds 18 credits, equivalent to a full semester, and provides essential corporate exposure in your specialisation.
Careers360: Please give details on the assistance you received from the faculty, peers, and placement office with regard to the internships.
Bharti Sharma: The faculty guide stays in touch with the company guide to monitor the student’s progress during the internship. IBS Mumbai placement office ensures the internship project is relevant, and the evaluation process includes feedback from both internal and external guides. Before the internship, the placement office thoroughly assesses the role to ensure it aligns with our goals.
Careers360: How was your experience with the summer internship? What are the key takeaways that you can look back on from it?
Bharti Sharma: My internship at JM Financial Services was fantastic. Despite having prior experience, I was treated like a full-time employee. I worked on enhancing recruitment efficiency, from sourcing candidates to helping with onboarding and organizing campus placement group discussions. Hey Aspirant,
Hope you are doing great....!!!
If you want to know about the Amity University Mumbai, DY Patil or IBS Mumbai which one is better. If you are looking for a good location, Amity Mumbai is always a better option.
Amity has a culture of exposing students to different lifestyles and teaching them skills that are required in the corporate world. Such as public speaking and presentation abilities.
Most of the people were placed during their course through Amity college placements. The remainder were placed outside. Most of Amity pass outs are doing extremely well in current jobs. IBS Mumbai is a good university. In terms of placement, as far as I am aware, the students were placed in a variety of companies. The institute's placement in the financial sector is quite good. Overall, all the three are good universities, it depends upon you what you want to choose.
I hope this will help you.
Best of Luck:)
