NIT Warangal MBA admission process consists of two stages - shortlisting candidates based on CAT/MAT score and conducting GD and PI. The list of shortlisted candidates based on entrance test scores will be released on the institute's website in June 2025. Candidates shortlisted are required to appear for the GD and PI to be held on the institute campus in July 2025. The final merit list of candidates selected for NIT Warangal MBA admission will be based on scores in CAT/MAT and performance in GD and PI.

Candidates interested in taking admission must have completed a 3-year bachelor's degree with a minimum 60% of marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) or CGPA of 6.5 (for SC/ST/PwD 6.0) on a 10-point scale. NIT Warangal MBA Admission Eligibility Criteria 2025

Students aspiring admission to School of Management at NIT Warangal must fulfill the eligibility as mentioned below:

• The candidate must have a first-class Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Engineering/Technology from a recognized institute/university.
• Student must have the aggregate score of four semesters as mentioned in the table below:

• Aspirants must have obtained a valid score in any of the following entrance examination:

  • CAT

  • MAT

• Candidates appearing in the final year of the qualifying examination can also apply. Such students will be offered admission on a provisional basis and will have to submit the final marks list on or before September 15, 2025. Failing to submit all necessary documents, the admission will stand cancelled.

• The reservation policy for EWS/OBC/SC/ST will be as per the norms of the Government of India.
• Applicants must be citizens of India.

The authority will start the application process of NIT Warangal MBA 2025 admission in online mode. Candidates can visit the official website and fill the NIT Warangal MBA admission form 2025. Before they start filling the form, they are advised to keep handy some important documents which are mentioned below.

• Bank details for payment in online mode.
• Photocopy of grade sheets/mark sheets of all examinations
• Photocopy of Integrated Community Certificate
• Photocopy of EWS/OBC certificate (if any)
• Photocopy of PwD certificate (if any)
• In case the candidate’s qualifying examination result is awaited, he/she must get the photocopy of the degree/provisional pass certificate and must be submitted at the time of counselling also.

Important Note -

• If any other application performa is submitted by the candidate other than provided on the website, such a form will not be considered.
• Fees once paid is not refundable
• If any candidate is working he/she shall not be admitted to a full-time MBA program until relieved by the duties by his/her employer.
• If any false or tampered information is provided, such candidature will be cancelled.
• No allowance will be made for postal delays in submitting the application form.

NIT Warangal MBA Admission Criteria 2025

SOM-NIT Warangal will shortlist the applicants on the basis of their score in CAT/ MAT and the eligibility criteria prescribed. Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for the selection rounds which are:

• Group discussion
• Personal interview

Important Note for Selection:

• In case two or more candidates have the same marks in CAT/MAT then the aggregate percentage in the qualifying examination will be taken into consideration. However, in a case aggregate marks are also the same then the elder person will be given preference.
• Students taking admission to SOM-NIT Warangal will have to stay in the institute hostels only.
• Candidates who will be given provisional admission will be examined by the Medical Officer and those who will fail to be physically fit he/she will not be admitted.
• A fee paid to the institute will not be refunded under any circumstances. However, if the student cancels his/her admission before the beginning of the course, then Rs. 5000 will be deducted and the remaining amount will be refunded.
• A list of shortlisted candidates will be displayed on the website itself, no student will get call letters.

NIT Warangal MBA Admission 2025 - seat acceptance & Fee payment

• Provisionally selected candidates have to pay Rs. 76,000/-(Tuition fee-35000 & first-semester fee- 41000) as seat acceptance fee.
• Candidates who failed to pay the seat acceptance fee within the stipulated time, will lose the allotted seat (that means the selected seat will be cancelled automatically).
• Candidates should email the information to Associate Dean after payment of the fee [Email: admissions@nitw.ac.in] with the following details:

  • MBA application number

  • Fee receipt with candidate's name on it.

• Candidates are required to report physically to the Institute (exact dates will be notified on the Institute website soon)

• Candidates who want to cancel allotted seats before physical reporting can send a request for cancellation to the Associate Dean (Admissions) through email. Candidates should provide the bank account details

  • Name of the account holder,

  • Account Number,

  • Name of the bank branch,

  • IFSC code

  • Proof copy of cancelled cheque or stamped front page of passbook of the same bank account.

Note: The account must be in the name of the candidate only. The refund amount will be transferred to the candidate’s bank account only after the entire admission process is completed.
