Careers360: Please describe your area of expertise and professional role. Did you pursue a career in the same field you were initially interested in, or did you switch your focus?
Abhishek Singh: My area of expertise is Financial Accounting and Reporting, Financial Analytics, managing complex outsourcing projects in the F & A domain for SSC (Shared Service Centers) and BPM (Business Process Management) companies. My professional role throughout working experience of more than 17 years is the same. I pursued a career in the same field where I was initially interested and continued.
Careers360: Could you kindly provide an overview of your career progression to date?
Abhishek Singh: I started my career in 2007 with Aditya Birla Group in its chemical business post-campus recruitment then moved to the BPM sector in 2008. After completing a couple of short-term stints, joined Aptara Corp in Trivandrum and worked there from 2010 to 2013. Then moved to Delhi and worked with Cognizant Technologies for over 4 years, Genpact for over 4 years and now working with Jonas Lang LaSalle (JLL) since April 2023.
Careers360: In your opinion, how does industry work differ from the knowledge you gained at AIM?
Abhishek Singh: Knowledge gained at the Asia Pacific Institute of Management (AIM) helped to identify my area of strength during the initial 2-3 years and laid the foundation to take a focused approach to my career path. AIM adequately prepared me to transition seamlessly into the professional world, equipping me with the skills necessary to contribute from Day 1. The institution nurtured an open-minded and learning-oriented approach, ensuring I was always ready to adapt and improve daily.

Careers360: How do you believe your time at AIM has contributed to both your personal and professional development?
Abhishek Singh: Time spent at AIM was a game changer in my life. Spending time with batchmates from diverse educational and personal backgrounds, and going through extensive academic environments under the guidance of professors and industry experts helped to enhance my mental horizon and professional skills.
The faculty and management at AIM played a crucial role in developing my professional abilities and enhancing my overall personality. The placement team also guided me effectively in approaching recruiters and presented valuable opportunities.
Careers360: What were your initial thoughts when you joined AIM?
Abhishek Singh: Each day at AIM proved to be an enlightening experience, full of new revelations and discoveries.
Careers360: You must have had memorable experiences during your time at AIM. Do you miss being a part of it?
Abhishek Singh: My time at AIM was a wonderful blend of learning and fun, spent with my batch mates and faculty. While I do miss being there, I understand that in life, progression is necessary, and one must keep moving forward.
Careers360: Could you share a few memorable experiences from your time at AIM?
Abhishek Singh: It’s difficult to jot down here. I dream of writing a memoir one day on my life at AIM.
Careers360: Please describe your life on campus, including the activities you participated in and your daily routine.
Abhishek Singh: The campus infrastructure was exceptional, from the academic facilities to the hostels. We were engaged in various activities throughout the day, balancing rigorous work with enjoyable learning experiences.
Careers360: In addition to academics, what extracurricular activities did you participate in, and how did they contribute to your growth?
Abhishek Singh: AIM offered numerous celebrations and interest clubs where we gained knowledge in an informal setting. We were able to integrate both theoretical and practical learning, which enriched our overall development.
Careers360: How did you stay updated with industry trends and developments, and how did the institute support you in this regard?
Abhishek Singh: The curriculum at AIM is continuously updated to reflect industry trends, ensuring that students are job-ready from the outset. This proactive approach is one of the institution’s greatest strengths.
Careers360: As a proud alumnus of AIM, what would you consider to be the best aspect of the institution from a student's perspective?

Placements of Asia Pacific Institute of Management are good. As per the placement report of 2018 average package was around 6.25 LPA. This is a good package for a private management college.

These is no open source regarding the placement for mechatronica engineering from ASIA PACIFIC INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, PANIPAT. Still from some of the sources it seems like the average salary is around 3 lpa to 5 lpa depending on you hardwork and placement percentage of 71%.

Let me tell you that Asia Pacific institute of Panipat Haryana is one of the best colleges for mechatronics.
It has highest percentage of placement.
Many companies like NewGen MRF Tata steel HCL Tata motors Mahindra Ashok Leyland etc offer huge package to the students..

Core field companies are less in numbers. IT sector companies comes to the college on a regular basis. Companies like Wipro, HCL, ABS electroplaters, L&T and many other companies visit this college. For cs/it it is almost 80% placement. for another field 40-50%. companies like deffodil, accenture, ennoeye etc. average package is 3lack per annum.
