Careers360: Tell us about your domain and your work profile. At the professional level, did you pursue the same field you were interested in, or did you switch?

Sejal: I am a Business Analytics graduate student at the University of Texas at Arlington. I switched to the field of Business Analytics. My passion for data analytics and my professional and academic experience are accountable for this decision of mine.

Careers360: Can you briefly tell us about your career path so far?

Sejal: My passion for data analytics and its ability to solve complex business problems enabled me to pursue a Master of Science in Business Analytics, Texas at Arlington after my graduation. Here I leverage my skills and make an impact in the field of business analytics.

Careers360: Is the Industry work different from what you learnt at Bennett University?

Sejal: No. The industry driven curriculum with hands-on projects, and experiential learning made us market ready. So, the skills and techniques learnt during graduation hold the utmost importance and prepared us for the bigger and a brighter future ahead.

Careers360: How do you think your time in college has added value to your life, both professional and personal?

Sejal: The overall experience of the coursework has helped with a comprehensive makeover of my in depth understanding of the field of business and management. At the professional level, it instilled me with confidence to carve a niche with a brighter future ahead.

Careers360: What was your initial thought process when you joined Bennett University?

Sejal: Being a new University, getting into one of the founding batches wasn’t surely an easy decision but it did turn out to be a fruitful one. I, like others, was quite skeptical as being a new University with a small batch size, but a very big name attached to being the Times Group.

Careers360: You must have had a memorable time at BU. Do you miss being a part of it? Share a few good memories.

Sejal: I have had an experience of a lifetime. With a wide range of activities, I got to explore their interests, build new friendships and create memories that will last a lifetime. I am grateful for the enriching experiences that the University has provided me with.

Careers360: Briefly take us through your life at the campus, the activities you used to do and your routine life.

Sejal: I used to wake up in the morning. Get ready for classes and then head out for lunch where we would talk about assignments and the next classes during the evening when our classes would and we would go for snacks, which was the relaxing time for me and my friend. During the night we would sit together on Campus, eat out joints and just talk about life.

Careers360: Apart from academics, what were the other activities you were involved in and how did it enrich your life?

Sejal: Bennett University offers a plethora of activities for its students to get involved in. From sports enthusiasts to fitness buffs, the campus has something for everyone. I was involved in over 19 clubs, heading their core. These had an impact in the later part of my life because it made me experience and learn so much.

Careers360: How did you keep updated with the industrial requirements and what was the role of the institute in it?

Sejal: The University always gives us a realistic understanding with respect to the industry and I feel how they conducted sessions and programmes. Rarely paved the way for a better understanding of what is required out there following their instructions and usually get my updates by following the news.

Careers360: You are a proud alumnus of BU. What is the best part of the Institute from a student’s perspective?

Sejal: Yes, I am, the best part is the ongoing support and mentorship at every step. The hands-on opportunity, constant push from your faculty to think critically, and perform better helped me push beyond their boundaries.

Careers360: What is your suggestion/guidance for the BU aspirants?

Sejal: I would suggest that look at the program, curriculum, exposure it offers, faculty more than just a university. It is built for students and unlike any other university, you have the freedom to shape yourself.
