Careers360: Tell us something about yourself. (a bit of the background like graduation, place and any such thing)
Raghav Kapoor: My name is Raghav Kapoor. I come from Shahjahanpur U.P. I am a PGPM student of IBS Gurgaon. I did my B.Tech in Civil Engineering from JSS College Noida. I am also the Vice Coordinator of Entrepreneurship Development Cell-IBSG.
Careers360: Tell us something about your IBS campus and what made you choose it
Raghav Kapoor: The campus at Gurgaon has good infrastructure with a very dynamic approach to academic curriculum with respect to industry needs and focus on soft skills development. The case study approach and the dynamic curriculum attracted me towards the institute.
A good blend of faculty from academia and industry is also one of the special features at IBS.

Raghav Kapoor: I am pursuing PGPM Finance at IBS. I want to work in finance domain because I enjoy the challenging nature of the industry and how fast-paced it is. I thrive under pressure. I enjoy problem-solving and analysing data, but also realize that finance is not just about the numbers, it is about the people too.
Careers360: Summer internship is mandatory in all IBS campuses. Where did you pursue it and what was the duration? What were the steps to get into it?
Raghav Kapoor: I pursued my 14 weeks summer internship at Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Company. I got this opportunity from the campus itself through Internship Cell which brings various organizations looking for recruiting interns. I was selected by the company heads after the interview.

Careers360: Please give details on the assistance you received from the faculty, peers and placement office with regard to the internships?
Raghav Kapoor: My faculty mentor helped me with understanding corporate culture and etiquettes, creating value for the organization through the work put in and setting goals and timelines to complete the projects while I was working at the organization. My classmates and I shared a good bond and we also helped each other in understanding the nuances of report writing. Placement managers were also helpful as they made us aware about the requirements of the corporate world which was helpful in cracking the interview.
My peers at the organization helped me with developing my team working and leadership skills.
Careers360: How was your experience with the summer internships? What are the key takeaways that you can look back on from it?
Raghav Kapoor: My summer internship experience has added a lot of value in my overall personality. In that 14 weeks tenure I learned from the exposure to researching in equity market, risk profiling and mutual fund methodology.
