Xavier School of Management (XLRI) has announced admission to the Three-Year Part-Time Weekend Program – Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) for Working Executives & Business Owners for the batch 2019 to 2022. The last date to apply for the program is March 31, 2019. The program is AICTE approved. The programme structure comprises mainly weekend classes to maintain the balance between their work, personal life and learning rigor to the best extent feasible. The program comprises of 900 hours of coursework interaction, spread over three years to accommodate the time constraints of working executives and business owners. Sessions are conducted mainly using physical classroom during the weekends at XLRI Jamshedpur campus with special virtual classroom based sessions with the aim to provide opportunities for interaction with renowned faculty, peers, and industry experts. The virtual classroom sessions are to be held on a few select weekends, which will not exceed 25 percent of the sessions. The students are provided multiple opportunities to share their work/marketplace experiences thereby enriching classroom learning and fostering meaningful, value-added discussions amongst peers. The program allows students with opportunities to apply the conceptual insights gained in the classroom to their respective workplace on a day-to-day basis. In addition to the application opportunities provided in individual courses, the programme also includes two field work-based projects that provide ample scope to apply the knowledge gained during the program to real-life business settings and decisions. Students are also given multiple opportunities to understand the real-life applications and relevance of the knowledge gained in different courses through in-built evaluation mechanisms such as projects, assignments, case study based assignment cum presentations, etc.

The Last date of receipt of application with payments is March 31, 2019. Candidates will be selected through a written aptitude test on April 7, 2019. The test will comprise of sections on quantitative ability, logical reasoning, and English language skills. Candidates who have written any of the well-established management entrance examinations (e.g., XAT, GMAT, CAT, etc.), in the last two years are encouraged to send the copy of the scores along with the application. Personal interviews will be held from April 7 to 17, 2019 at XLRI Campus.
College Comparison based on Courses, Placement, Rank, Fee
Candidates having three years Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in any discipline recognized by a University or a Deemed University and minimum work experience of two years in managerial/supervisory/executive/ownership role as on April 30, 2019, are eligible to apply for this programme. Candidates who have completed the four-year Bachelors' degree in any Engineering discipline from a University or Deemed University are also eligible to apply. The candidate must have a score of 50 percent or more marks (or its equivalent GPA) in the above programs. The programme fee is Rs. 10.72 lakhs, is payable in instalments as decided by the institute. The program is scheduled to commence from the 3rd week of May 2019.

In order to be eligible to apply for XLRI Jamshedpur you need to have a bachelor's degree with minimum three years of duration and from recognized university. The criteria for NRI or foreign students is different and they are required to apply through GMAT or XAT entrance exam.
