Indus Business Academy, Bangalore Holds 16th Annual Convocation
Indus Business Academy, Bangalore held its 16th Annual Convocation on January 5, 2019 to confer the PGDM titles to the graduating students and to wish them the best for their future endeavours. The event was witnessed at the IBA campus and was attended by the students, faculty of IBA and eminent personalities like Hon. Shri. Faqir Chand Kohli, popularly known as F. C. Kohli, an Indian industrialist amongst other dignitaries.
The ceremony started with students chanting the auspicious quotes of Saraswati Vandana, filling the aura with purity & peace and blessings of the “Goddess of Knowledge”. The batch of 2016-18 gathered to start a new beginning” in the corporate for the passing out students and was honoured by lightening of the lamp by the respected dignitaries.
The faculty members also graced the event with their presence. The ceremony then begun with a welcome speech by Dr. Manish Jain followed by address from Dr. Sharma.
The Chief Guest for the event, Shri F. C. Kohli, frequently referred to as the Father of the Indian Software Industry graced the event with his presence. As the founder and first CEO of Tata Consultancy Services, a Padma Bhushan award recipient, and many such reputable titles, Shri Kohli conferred the students with the degree certificate with a ray of hope to see them at top levels in different capacities for the new world, that they were stepping into. Subsequently, Shri F C Kohli was introduced to the gathering, after which he enlightened the passing out batch with his experiences along the professional journey and what Indian system needs to do in current times and the changes required. He also talked about the expectations of the industry from current crop of managers.

Additionally, several students received various awards and scholarships including Dr. Anil Agrawal’s Memorial Award worth Rs. 51,000. The batch of 2016-18 also truly demonstrated the significance of the slogan of their institute, “Think Beyond.. Think IBA”. The time came eventually for the event to end by thanking all those who were present which was well presented by Prof. Subhendu Dey with a hope that the passing out batch will make their Alma Mater proud at all levels.

In my opinion you should opt for RIIM Pune because Pune is the hub of management colleges whereas Bangalore is known as IT Hub therefore studying from Pune will give you an added advantage. RIIM Pune is among the best colleges in Pune which has made it marks by providing updating curriculum, lot of certifications to students as well as good placement in well-known companies such as ITC, Capgemini, BNY Melon, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, Amul, Khadims, JK Tyre, and Bose etc. RIIM provides their student with an average package of 6.5 lacs whereas highest package has went up to 14 lacs.

The Indus Business Academy of Bangalore is a good institute to pursue PGDM courses. The institute is Private and Standalone type of Institute.
Talking about the placements, various renowned companies like Safexpress, NWCC, ITC Lifestyle, Next Retail India Ltd., V-Mart, Raymonds, Tata Oil, JCB, PIAGGIO, Tata Motors, Blue Star Ltd., Videocon, JK Tyres, Jaguar and Co. Ltd., etc visit its campus for recruitment.
The placements is very good in the Sales and Marketing areas. The other fields where the placements is good are the BFSI, Consulting, Technology, E-Commerce, etc. the average package offered to the students is around 7 Lakhs per annum and the highest package offered was INR 20 Lakhs per annum.
